Possible fix/solution if you can't get the vc clickspot.

Featured Replies

Hi all,I had a problem getting the clickspot in the vc,as I know a few of you have also had this issue also.Following some team view work with Bryan earlier today,it would seem (at least in my case anyway) that the issue was resolved when the 2D panel option was selected in the FSX options menu when first starting FSX. I then changed it back to 3D panel option (I didn't need to actually start FSX,just selecting these things seemed to work for me) then restarted FSX and all seems fine now. Have tried it with both analogue and digital instrument options. Like many of you I run AS 2012, GSX and EzDok if this helps. I'm sure Bryan would appreciate your comments and thoughts on this. Hope it works for you.CheersSteve Amsden

I had this issue too for some reason. I closed fsx, opened fs2crew config manager, disabled and enabled button version (this is the version i use) and the issue fixed.

Steve, I tried your suggestions but unfortunately it still doesn't work for me. For now, I'll just open it with a keyboard command.

Bryan, I tried switching from 2D to 3D and back but it still didn't work. I'm at work right now but I'll try it again when I get home.

You were not supposed to switch back to 3D, switch it to 2D and leave it there, when the sim loads into the 2D panel go into the 3D cockpit if you want.

Damien, that may be why it didn't work. I'll try it again when I get home and report back. Thanks for the clarification.

OK guys, I'm starting to feel a little dumb here. I set the 2D panel as the default cockpit setting but when I start FSX, it always come up in the VC no matter which aircraft I select. Is this because I use EZDOK? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Bryan, I'll be gone all day tomorrow but I'm off on Wednesday.

Did it this way and it will not work for me either.

Actually, we were wrong all along.I discovered this after doing a Remote Desktop with a user who experienced this issue, which I could never reproduce. The 2D switch is not the solution. It was strange because FS2Crew is coded in such a way that you should be able to start in the 2D or VC with no problems. The reason the clickspot doesn't work in the VC only is because we're bumping into a strange issue with the PMDG itself. If you have extra Windows on your panel.cfg beyond the FS2Crew ones (because you have any other program that installs Windows and gauges on your Panel.Cfg, like Vox ATC), you will bump into this issue. It's odd because, technically, the FSX Window limit is about 100, and we're still way below that at around 25 or so.I'm bringing this to the attention of PMDG, so hopefully they can address it in their next update. The solution if this happens to you is to simply use the available Keyboard or Joystick button assignment to open the FS2Crew Main Panel from the VC as described in the FS2Crew manual. That's work just as well, and may in fact even be easier.Cheers,

Bryan, Thanks for the update. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind! The keypress is not a big thing. I either move my hand to press the key, or move my hand to align the mouse.
