March 22, 201214 yr Looked for answer...didn't see one. How do you get a "Happy Passenger"?I flew two "$100 Hamburger" flights. Passenger was talkative and seemed happy whole flight. Parked aircraft and shut down. Passenger never complained. But when the "score" comes up it shows 500 possible points for a Happy Passenger, but I always get "0" points. Back in my Pilot Record it doesn't show any frightened or barfing passengers.Does she have to eat the darn 'burger or something? She did everything except ask me out for a date. ;-) Rick Ryan
March 22, 201214 yr So both times you got a zero? How odd... That hasn't happened to me yet. Does it reflect on your Happy Passenger % rating under your pilot profile as well? I know I had one kamikaze pilot crash into me during such a mission and it didn't reflect at all on my profile though I fully expected it to (thankfully).

March 22, 201214 yr Author Forum revision seems to be doing strange stuff with new posts. Click on "Post" and it looks like it didn't get posted, so click on it again...same thing. After 3rd click I gave up and exited the "Reply" section. My reply sentence got posted 3 times in my reply post. Rick Ryan
March 22, 201214 yr I had that same result the first time - she was in a big hurry and I guess I wasn't quick enough taking off, I don't know. The second time I flew this mission from another aiport , this time the gal I took ended up happy. Who knows... Don B
March 22, 201214 yr this time the gal I took ended up happythere must be a reason why they offer different jobs for chicks and chickens. I prefer the latter, they hardly complain when it gets bumpy. this part is a quite realistic simulation of the real life I guess. March 22, 201214 yr Lol, reminds me of completing a job yesterday morning. It was a medical run, carrying a nurse along with a patient ( guys somewhere around 160+ nm to a medical facility. I took them in the Maule.Anyways, the whole distance the all the guy did was sniffing and clearing his throat. I was like man, would you please blow that dang nose.I mean seriously, here I was in an aircarft, hauling a patient to a medical facility with probably nothing more than a common cold...So we land, and while taxiing to the waiting van to carry him on to the medical facility - the dang nurse starts sneezing! LOL. I thought that was probably a nice touch, whether this was the programmers' intent or not, it was like ok she just spent an hour or so in a tight airplane with a guy obviously pretty sick with a bad cold and most likely contagious, and now the dang nurse is catching it! I guess my next job at that airport, will be to do the same for her LOL.I guess it is the subtle things if you pay attention...They were happy, and my next job was a cargo of whiny dogs - made them happy as well. I am getting good at greasing in the landings with the Maule, no easy feat! Don B
March 22, 201214 yr whiny dogsmake sure you also pick monkeys, pigs and others. once you hauled 6 different animals you get an achievement and some of the MS funny money points... March 22, 201214 yr Hehe, I just finished reading this and became very aware of the two people that are coughing a lot behind my row on the bus...DAD,FYI, those points are not redeemable. They are just there to show off to others.
March 22, 201214 yr Hmmm...I did a hamburger mission..I flew "too low"; he started bleating so I climbed above 1000'. I pulled a textbook landing, and he complemented me on my flying, told me he'd get a return ride with me, and I get....0% Happy Passenger. Not only was he an idiot; he lied to me to make me feel better about myself!!bestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
March 22, 201214 yr Yeah that reminds me, the first hamburger run I did I was pretty low as well, matter of fact the gal asked if we were driving a car of flying LOL.Guess that is why she was not happy... Don B
March 22, 201214 yr I've been fairly successful getting happy pax, but I have a question about taxi speed. Anyone know what the maximum safe taxi speed is to keep happy pax? I'm usually taxiing around 10-13 kts.
March 22, 201214 yr My best guess is the maximum taxi speed is around 19 knots. I've had passengers complain when I go faster. Haven't had the HUD up in a while though. If there's any wind at all, you start getting aileron steering response on the ground at 13 knots ground speed, as far as I've been able to determine.Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
