March 10, 201313 yr Henri you need the updated version of IF which is not available yet the problem after the pmdg ngx sp1 the co-routes work sometimes and sometimes not but with the new version of IF Steve has fixed that so you may have to wait for the new version to enjoy seeing that co-route showing up in your fmc sorry for the bad news but Steve has stated should not be much longer to wait for it. IF will place the flt plan in your C:\FSX\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS folder again without the new version this does not happen. Uhhh...OK, I had the impression that this worked with the current version of the IF... Henri Henri Arsenault
March 10, 201313 yr Commercial Member ..I had the impression that this worked with the current version of the IF.. ...I've posted the list of changes included so far with version [sf]That's changes you get in the current version you have, version [se] to version [sf], we are still working on it. The FMC functions are with the Upgrade Pack that is also coming with version [sf]. Won't be long henri! Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
July 16, 201312 yr Commercial Member ...apologies for the delay, I got good excuses. Honest!. There's not a hugely, alarmingly, exceedingly long time to go now before the long awaited update [sf] and Upgrade Package is ready. Since the upgrades needed work on the underlying code the original program gets a good lift, so there's plenty of nice stuff to come in the update, the upgrade adds a lot of Pro features and much more, more than many addons, and plans for development don't stop there. Anyhow, still a few weeks away as a lot of stuff to test and make sure of. As an example of what's been done, here with the upgraded version, IF's auto-route planner chooses SIDs, STARs and more. This is a route automatically generated from add-in navdata and exports to most FMCs too. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
July 26, 201312 yr So, I recently purchased this program and can enthusiastically recommend it for the type of flying I do. I was looking for something like Air Hauler to add some structure to my flying, but without the economy element. This fits the bill nicely. I love being able to randomly generate flight plans in any direction I choose, using the plane and duration I choose, have the entire flight briefing show on the kneeboard, and then fly in a sensible way like a real pilot would (at least if I want to avoid a negative flight evaluation). If I pick the Legacy, I'll get bigger airports. If I pick the Tecnam, I get some cool FTX grass fields that I probably never would have found otherwise. Then, when the flight is done, you can park at that airport and start again later cold and dark with a new plan from that location. Very realistic, and something I miss from MS Flight. As others have mentioned, this is a program that is full of features. I can't wait for the new update. Get to work, Steve!
July 28, 201312 yr Commercial Member Thanks for your kind words Mark. I'm obviously quite aware I've kept everyone waiting, I've had a few interruptions this year and they are still coming at me, but I'm on it and it's just starting final preparations now. All the best. Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
July 29, 201312 yr Quick question: I use OpusFSX for my real-time weather generation. It looks like you have a good product for offline weather generation. Does this product also support online generation in real-time?
July 29, 201312 yr Commercial Member Make sure to turn off IF weather settings so that your online weather program takes full control of weather functions. I have had several emails from IF users delighted with Opus, IF won't interfere with it. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
