March 24, 201214 yr I removed the trim repeat originally, and found that a lot of times I needed faster control. Now I have two sets of buttons assigned to trim. One has the normal repeat of 32, the other has no repeat. Now I can got both coarse and fine adjustment as needed.I have no problems flying the RV-6, but the Maule is still too twitchy for me, as noted in my post above. I'll probably end up writing a custom CH Control Manager script to do my own response curve.Hook Larry Hookins Oh! March 24, 201214 yr The one main irritation i have with the controller settings is that Flight at first totally ignores my settings in the logitech profiler , cant use my steeringwheel throttle and brake pedals at all (for rudder) , everytime i need to alttab out of flight then touch the profiler and then get back in the game to use them as rudder.(this includes for sensitivity/centerforce settings for my joystick) Maybe probably this has something to do with windows-live taking focus during the Flight startup.
March 24, 201214 yr I worked around the joystick trim either being "responsive but too-fast repeating" or "fine control but non-repeating" by setting my joystick software to map my trim buttons to the keyboard keys used for trim adjustment. Now, I get one degree at a click but it still repeats if I want to hold it down a couple of seconds for rapid adjustments.Hey, now that sounds like a pretty good idea. My Cougar joystick and throttle are very programmable, by creating first a macro file, which basically is a file for controller commands and their corresponding key presses - then the actual joystick file that uses that same macro file, to assign each macro to a button /hat on both the stick and the throttle. It also has a toggle switch, that provides a 3 way mode switcher, so in reality I can assign like three different commands to each button, and use the mode toggle where required.I have not taken the time to create a joystick/macro file for Flight due to it's simplicity, I just mapped the commands directly in the sim to my joystick buttons.Cetainly would be easy enough, no more commands than there are, to go ahead and create a file for Flight and due the same as you did above.Glad I saw that, and thanks. I do have most of my stick/throttle assignments made in Flight, but have made a few in my G940's Profiler due to either Flight not being aware that those buttons exist (such as the POV Hat and DPAD on the throttle) or for a few such as the elevator trim where the keyboard keys actually function better. Assigning joystick buttons to the trim keyboard key commands makes them work perfectly, as I can click to make fine adjustments or hold for rapid coarse adjustments on the same pair of buttons.
March 24, 201214 yr as I can click to make fine adjustments or hold for rapid coarse adjustments on the same pair of buttons.Indeed that part of it I really like, a single button press for a fine adjustment, and a hold for continuing adjustments. I undoubtedly will take a few minutes out of my day to work on a joystick file for my Cougar. Thanks again for the tip, Don B

Dunno if it should be in this topic but , i`ve found a solution to my problem by changing the properties of the shortcut to Flight.exe to "Run: Minimized" So my Flight profile in my logitech profiler loads properly the first time round.
