GoFlight PMDG Driver Now Available

Featured Replies

Working great Steve, couple of questions, if these are available in the SDK.

Is there a Data_light we can use for the Ground power available, when the GPU is connected and running?

Data_lights for the Captains ACP for the Marker switch, Serv Int and the PA switches?

So many choices I keep getting lost

Many thanks

I was aware of the sync which you noted either here on the forum or the manual, that's what my guess was, but didn't see how it would choose to flip the switches opposite to the position I had. Lights are ONOFF, but I will give them a look thru to see as I had pos/strobe on two different switches, maybe that's what is causing confusion.

Thx for the clarification.

hi steve,

I've tried the latest beta and VS + and - just don't work right, too buggy. Is it going to be fixed ?

Thanks,

Hi Trevor,

I can add the Ground Power Available light. I'll do it for the next release.

PA: DATA_FWDOH_COMM_LIGHT_IN_USE

Serv Int: DATA_AFTOH_SWITCH_SERVICE_INTERPHONE

ACP: DATA_CTLSTD_LIGHT_MIC_SELECTOR_LEFT (values start from 0 for the first button, then 1 etc).

Best wishes

Steve

Yes that would mess things up. Please feed back to me on the outcome.

Hi Evan,

I can't help you with so little information. Are you using the MCP PRO or MCP? If not what device are you using and what have you configured for the Button or Rotary Events and Actions? What behaviour are you seeing?

Best wishes

Update,

Version 1.0.42.0. just uploaded to Avsim and passed to GoFlight. Changes are as follows:

1) Removed duplicate events for COM1/2/3 that were masking COM transfer events.

2) Further improvements made to device updates when NGX is not sending data constantly.

3) Fixed issue on GF46 and GF45 when button would cycle through unassigned data and would also not display data.

4) Added DATA_FWDOH_GROUND_POWER_AVAILABLE

5) GF46 and GF45 will display a zero when number is 0.

6) Added Cluster events and data for APU GEN, ELEC GEN and RECIRC FANS.

Hi McDan,

AVSIM rejected the upload and GoFlight haven't put it up yet. I'll give AVSIM another go later.

If GFDev is running, and you try to assign and use the GF-46 in Steve's interface, you will get a hard lockup every time. This is due to a bug in the GF SDK, which will hopefully be fixed.

Until then, only assign the GF-46 with the GF config program, leave it disabled in Steve's interface, much as the warning notes on that TAB page.

GoFlight have fixed the bug in GFDevFSX.exe. Its in release 2.21 which I've tested. They haven't issued the new software yet - not sure why.

Just so you are aware:

"Thank you for uploading to the AVSIM Library, and supporting the Flight Simulation community.

Your file is now live!

PS. Stephen, It has been bought to my attention that the words "GoFlight" and "PMDG" are not allowed to be used in the main title due to Avsim's terms and conditions. The title has been changed to "Boeing B737 NGX Interface". Hope this is to your satisfaction and that you understand the problem.

Also GoFlight and PMDG have been mentioned in the author field and is also in your description so users searching will be able to find your contribution."

:unknw: "Boeing" is allowed but "PMDG" and "GoFlight" are not. Answers on a postcard please!

He he he ...funny

I got the file Steve, many thanks!

I've installed the Driver by Steven Munn for the PMDG 737X and Goflight modules. I am using version 1.0.42.0. I am also using the latest Goflight config program as well as latest "C" update to the PMDG 737NGX. I use the Goflight GF-MCP (not MCPPRO) to control auto pilot functions. My problem is that the display screens for Vertical Speed and Altitude seemed to shifted to the left one digit causing the screet to display 0400X instead of -0400 verticle speed and 4000X instead of 14000 in the altitude display, X being a blank digit not lighted. every thing else seems to work fine. I am Excited about this driver and its use in my flight simulator, any help would realy be apprecieated

Hi Jason,

I don't own the MCP so I can't confirm either way. I did however have an MCP owner help test the MCP side of things and relied on him to confirm it worked correctly.

I have asked him to check if he can re-create your problems on his MCP. If he can't, I'll need to to get to the bottom of whats causing this and ask for your help in the process.

Can other MCP (not PRO) owners confirm if the driver works Ok for them or not.

Best wishes

Hi Jason,

My MCP tester has confirmed everything is OK with his MCP. Can you double check that you have assigned in GFConfig for the MCP, the LevelD. This is important, otherwise the GoFlight driver will attempt to write to the MCP which messes things up.

Thx

Steve

No problem here, GF-MCP basic, works great.
