May 17, 201214 yr Author Hi Steve - with the latest version you just emailed out a couple of hours ago, the EFIS range selectors still don't match up with their settings - it's still forced to 5-320 miles and I cannot get it to be 10-640 as on the hardware. Many Thanks for your great software!!!! Jim Hi Jim, I have just tried it, and I can't find a problem. I know you have two EFIS. Have you tried unplugging the 2nd one to see if things change. Just so we are clear, its not the saved settings, its the actual selector not moving to the 640 position in the VC? Is it the Pilot or FO or both? Thx Steve Stephen Munn
May 17, 201214 yr Hi Steve - I start the GF interface and uncheck the option for 5-320 prior to clicking Fly Now, after the NGX is selected. The actual selector in the VC does not match up with the hardware...it's always off by one range setting. It is happening on both EFIS hardware devices. I have not tried unplugging the 2nd one....will do another test flight later. Thanks, Jim Jim BlakeCaptain, SWA Virtual AirlinesReal World C172 Pilot, AOPA #06034701
May 17, 201214 yr Author uncheck the option for 5-320 That's the problem. It needs to be checked, not unchecked. Stephen Munn
May 17, 201214 yr DUH! on my part! I misread it....will test later. Thanks, Steve! Jim Jim BlakeCaptain, SWA Virtual AirlinesReal World C172 Pilot, AOPA #06034701
May 19, 201214 yr Steve, again many thanks for your fine efforts. One problem I have is my old broken TQ6. Stuck under my bench out of reach but I have wired the switch levers to some desk top buttons. If I uncheck the TQ6ADV no matter how I save, it always starts up rechecked, anyway to kill it completely ? It gives me an extra 4 buttons to use with FSUIPC..so I do not want to unplug it. May 19, 201214 yr Author If I uncheck the TQ6ADV no matter how I save, it always starts up rechecked, anyway to kill it completely Funnily enough, today has been the first time I have had a chance to fly with all the coding I've being doing and I noticed the same thing. The LGT tick box also behaves the same way. Its amazing what slips through all the testing. I'm putting out a new release later tonight or tomorrow, (I'm just waiting for one of my testers to come back on a tab issue) so I'll include the fix in that. Best wishes Steve Stephen Munn
May 19, 201214 yr Steve: I mentioned this issue before through our emails conversations, I think you told me also it had to do with a GFdevFSX issue on the tq6 been enable always. I haven't experience again the freezing issue with the mcp, lights and the modules. Chema

The GoFlight SDK had a missing function that enables a developer to determine the qty of TQ6 devices attached, hence the "n/a" next to TQ6 on the status tab. The issue mentioned above is my mistake for not adding code that saves the state of the TQ6 tick box. GoFlight have provided me with the latest software that provides the missing function and it also appears to have fixed the GF46 issue if you do not have any selections made in GFConfig. Currently testing it out, but so far so good so I would expect GoFlight to release it shortly. Best wishes Steve Stephen Munn
May 20, 201214 yr Author Update: The first non Beta release has just been uploaded to the Avsim File Library. Wait until it shows up. Version number is 1.0.0.0. It has the following additions: 1) Fixed CUSTOM_WITH_OFF action; 2) Added MOUSELEFTX2_WITH_OFF action to enable APU start switch plus similiar switches on a T8; 3) Add Stab Trim function to LGT/LGTII on trim wheel; 4) Added DATA_SIMCONNECT_MAIN_EXIT_DOOR to enable reading of main exit door state. 5) Added EVT_CLUSTER.. and DATA_CLUSTER... to enable grouping of switches and switch data. 6) Improved multi-threading support. 7) GF45 Support. 8) Mouse cursor removal so that cursor does not hang about on screen forever. 9) Fixed bug that meant CUSTOM_WITH_OFFAS1 would not allow a custom value to be entered. 10) FSX "Add On" Menu, now has option to restart the interface without leaving the sim. 11) Added routine to ensure devices are updated when NGX goes into a mode that is not continually transmitting data. 12) Fixed LGT and TQ6 enabled settings not saving. Best wishes Steve Stephen Munn
May 21, 201214 yr Steve, Thanks for your all of your hard work and time spent building this interface! The NGX/GoFlight users appreciate your effort! Rich Boll Richard Boll Wichita, KS
May 24, 201214 yr Hi Steve first of all let me thank you and all your beta testers for this great program Mate i have a couple of issues which are probalbly my fault when setting up These are my goflight modules 2x rp48 1xp8 1xt8 1xgf46 I have one of the rp48 working with the interface vs,hdg, alt, spd for the rotarys the button side of things i can get the heading select to come on but when i go to turn it off it goes straight back to on as soo as i release the button Steve that pretty much goes for all button s on off For the second rp48 i set up the effis up on the rotaries for range ,mode etc but cant get them to work as i said before it is the way im setting them up i would think Mate is a general config available we can use . I would love to use this program for i have a fixed base b763er sim useing the level-d program that is available with the go flight gear im sure you have seen around . As for the ngx i have set up another station beside my sim where i can change to the ngx ,for that reason your prog would be great to use hope you can help cheers mark
May 24, 201214 yr Author Hi Mark, turn it off it goes straight back to on For those buttons use MOUSELEFT. The ONOFF action is really for T8 toggle switches, hence why you get the wrong behaviour. For the second rp48 i set up the effis up on the rotaries for range ,mode etc but cant get them to work Just tried it using ROTATE and it works fine for EVT_EFIS_CPT_RANGE. Make sure you have the device enabled in the RP48B tab if you get no response. Best wishes Steve Stephen Munn
May 24, 201214 yr Hi Steve, Has anybody reported noticing the following effect? I have a T8-2 assigned to the various lights. I switch on the NAV Lights and logo lights after battery (this is not assigned a switch). Somewhere along the startup, it just flips all buttons over, but only once, never occurs again. Happens every time, 4 times atleast so far. I am not able to put me finger on what causes or triggers it. I have had it happen even when I was keeping my hands to myself. Hi Charan, There is a synch routine that runs whenever the interface is started. Its purpose is to sync toggle switches and selectors with the aircraft so everything matches up. However, if you use a button action that is inappropriate for a toggle switch, you can get unexpected behaviour. For example using MOUSELEFT with most switches in the NGX VC will toggle it on and off - thus this is what happens when the sync routine runs. Its best to use button actions that are based on the state of the switch such as ONOFF, CUSTOM etc. Best wishes Steve PS. Thinking about it, I probably need to document the sync routine in the user-guide so no misunderstandings occur. Stephen Munn
