HelloWhen I used Linux for many years Slackware was my favourite distro, maybe time for me to free up a HD and get back into it.

:( I was also a Slackware user (since version 2.0 in the previous century). It's still existing, but today you'll find a greater community for GNU/Linux distros from the Debian/Ubuntu/Mint family.

My current (Geriatric) XP system has AVG freeware and Malware Bytes. I like Malware Bytes...it has helped get rid of infected situation a few times. AVG is ok.. But I am unable to use Reality XPs Garmin G530 package. I don't know what files and how to add it to AVG as "these are ok files and don't bother with it"

Whelp! Anyway, The reason I came here was, I was looking for a good AV software for my new Win 7 system I am building. I also would like to use Reality XP Garmin package.

So it looks like I need to get rid of my AVG freeware. Malware bytes is still good it looks like. I also need to add MSEE to my AV portfolia.

I just need to find a good replacement (Payware or freeware) for my AVG freeware that would need to run at all times without intruding on my FSX with the ability to exclude specific files

AVG has the "Don't bother these files" option... Also, AVG was ranked #1 in a CNET test. I tested it on my VirtualBox VM and it is MUCH better... Before, it was infamous for being a resource hog. Not anymore!
