Thanks, that's what I want. Occasionally my anal retentiveness wins out over my laziness and I really try to get something as near-perfect as I can.

Cheers,

  • I can't remember whether I posted a pic of my sim or not. Anyway, if I did, I did so before making a few additions. This is the latest incarnation of my beloved play pit! I have recently added the ove

Wow, westman, nice setup you got there!

Hi

Thanks for the comments Ben and Word Not Allowed.

Efis and MCP is Opencockpits the rest, frame mip glarewing its selfmade.

My goal is to build a complete 737 capitan side sim, with overhead Motorized Throttle.

Its gone take long time before its ready.

Its based on a 2 computer system , a Main FSX PC hopefully 3monitor Nvidia souround.

and one PC with all instruments networked .

Its a long way to go, dont care if it takes 3-4 years its my dream to have a 737 cockpit at home.

Very cool! I have come close to purchasing an MCP or throttles before. The pricetag on them is what scares me most of the time. Anyways, good luck with your cockpit setup! It is very impressive!

What camera did you take those with? It looks like a DSLR.. I appreciate nice pictures of PC's :)

Thanks! The shots were taken with a Canon 550D. It's a low-end DSLR, nothing special, but it beats compact point-and-shoots and phones any day of the week.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I finally made the decision to go to my local hardware store, buy some wood, and make a pedestal/table for my 'cockpit'.

Took me 20 minutes to assemble and 30 minutes to paint. Tell me what you think. Only spent 20 bucks!

But honestly, what do you think of it? I know you are very particular about your colors and aesthetics etc.

As I said. Simple and effective. I like it, though I would have solved the inner issue different, probably with a back wall or holders only in the back, so they are not visible in the front.

Well... I am not super handy lol. Honestly, this is my first DIY project that I have ever attempted... Although, I am quite please with the result considering it greatly improves my simming experience.
