April 12, 201214 yr You bet me by 2 minutes in making a thread about this :P I hope it's a DC-3 which will come with the "Journey To Alaska" pack. Jehan Kateli

April 12, 201214 yr Commercial Member This plane is for April DLC plane, not Alaska. Source? Brandon Filer
April 12, 201214 yr There is no source. It just sounds obvious because it was around this time in March that they announced a "Guess the Plane". It ended up being released as separate DLC. Given past evidence, I can assume, but not yet confirm yet. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
April 12, 201214 yr One data-point doesn't constitute a trend. Not that I think you're wrong, mind you.
April 12, 201214 yr I'm guessing it's the April DLC as well. That's neither an air intake nor an exhaust outlet. I agree with the poster in the other thread that it's more likely a shell casing ejection port. That makes it another warplane. Since shells are usualy ejected downward, that pic would have to be from the underside of the aircraft. Actually, I have NO idea what the thing is. :D Hook Larry Hookins Oh! April 12, 201214 yr That makes it another warplane. Hmm, if that is the case, I'm afraid it is going to be another cockpitless warbird. It was mentioned in the beta forum that the "next aircraft", the one after the Zero, is already "locked" in development.
April 12, 201214 yr Although it was me which made the suggestion that it was a shell case chute, I'm not completely convinced of that, certainly it looks a bit like it, and looks like it is on an engine cowling too, which would mean something with guns mounted near the cockpit in a manner similar to the A6M, but primarily on pre-WW2 fighter planes, notably WW1 types in fact. And if that is so, then I would have thought something obvious would have sprung to mind, and it hasn't, which is why I'm not convinced my guess was correct. In which case I wouldn't rule out it being an exhaust port on the nacelle of a twin of some sort. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
April 12, 201214 yr Actually, if you look closely, you can see what looks like grass through the hole beside the port. That makes it a top-down view. It also means there's at least one missing polygon. :D Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
April 12, 201214 yr Im thinking WW1 era fighter too. The first thing that hit my mind was shell cassing chute. But it looks newer than WW1. Hard to say. Rob
April 12, 201214 yr Think that's airframe green colouring rather than grass. Common on most aeroplanes. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
