April 15, 200422 yr Hi friends!I have never owned a payware bizzjet, since I'm almostalways are flying for my VA, or flying small GA.If I should consider a buy, which should I go for?Which of the Eaglesofts are best? The new CRJ?Any other?I have FS2004, WinXP and reasonbly good performance.Best regards Bj
April 15, 200422 yr I own the Cessna Citation X. Awesome aircraft. Great flight dynamics, panels and VC! Learning to fly it requires some reading. You can't just climb in and take off. I like the awesome cabin you can wonder around with ActiveCamera2004, a separate payware, the animated passenger working on her laptop, and the animated female mechanic who's working on your aircraft after you shut down the engines. A nice touch to a classy aircraft. Don't know anything about the CRJ or any of their other aircraft but have no doubt they would be of high quality. Hope this helps in your decision.Jim Young
April 15, 200422 yr Author Citation X all the way!!!CRJ isn't really a bizjet, more a regional commuter.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/PBTMCa.jpgCalVirAir International VACougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviation[link:www.cgrmtnhelos.com]Cougar Mountain Helicopters Best, Michael KDFW
April 15, 200422 yr I concur that the Citation X is a gorgeous piece of work, both inside and out. The virtual interior is especially well done. Do be aware, though, that it does affect framerates, in and of itself. I find that at certain heavily populated airports (especially those by Simflyers), the added framerate drop of the Citation X breaks the camel's back, so to speak. However, it should also be noted that the developers do provide different configurations for you to fly, depending on the abilities of your computer. The heaviest version and the hardest one on framerates has the full virtual interior, two 3d pilots, and a virtual passenger. The standard has the virtual interior without the people. The light has just a virtual cockpit and the ultra light has no virtual anything. - Matt D.
April 15, 200422 yr I agree with the Citation X, great plane to fly and I think it's the highest flying and fastest one available. 51,000 ft and mach .91. Eaglesoft did a great job on this one. I have their Beechjet 400A and it's really good too.
April 15, 200422 yr You can't go wrong with any of Eaglesoft's biz jets. (The Citation X is the best of all of them)
April 15, 200422 yr Another vote for Citation X. It is a lot of fun for me to fly, and not overly difficult for most people to operate.- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
April 16, 200422 yr I'd vote for the Beechjet, as I think it is a more versatile aircraft, plus I have time in the actual jet so I'm a little biased. The bonus is you get the Premier 1 also, so it's really 2 for the price of 1!! Something to consider.happy shopping!
April 16, 200422 yr Look no further than here...:-beerchug http://www.eaglesoftdg1.com/Home.htmMaybe they'll give us a Gulfstream IV one day... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 16, 200422 yr Thanks a lot for your input, guys!Surely the Cessna Citation looks good. It got to be thatone... or the Beechjet maybe hmmm....Best regards Bj
April 16, 200422 yr You're welcome, Ron! It's safe to say that your company has a somewhat cult following! I'm saving up for the Cit. X. Maybe in a month or two!cheers!
April 18, 200422 yr I don't know, I bought the CitationX and don't like the perspective or art work in the VC. I haven't delved into the details, but overall I'm not too impressed with the VC and gauge details, and especially the perspective. Flight model seems ok, but were I to be offered a refund, I would do it for sure. Just not me cup of tea I guess. I had the Beechjet too, and ditched it for similar reasons. April 19, 200422 yr I don't agree...I own EagleSoft's Premier 1 and the 400A, and also thought it was very nice, until I saw the PMDG 737-700, and you can't compare ANY payware to that. Now you might say that the 737 is not a BizJet, but I would dissagree: The Boeing BBJ (Business Jet) is based on the 737-700, it might be the largest BizJet in the world, but it is still a BizJet, en the best one I might add. Crz at FL410 at 0.78. And the Detail and Quality is the best I have seen..Just my 10 Cents
