April 16, 201214 yr I was on a few 757's and 737's the past few days and I noticed that the trim and such was flipped on the first officers side and wondered if there was any reasoning behind that? First Officer: Captain: On a totally off topic side note, Robert wasn't kidding that the flightdecks get realllllly dirty! That was the cleaner one and still look at all the grime around the throttle quadrant base! -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
April 17, 201214 yr Because you usually hold yoke with one hand and other hand is on throttle levers. So, FO hold his left hand at throttle and it would be really tricky to press buttons at the left side of yoke with his right hand. April 17, 201214 yr On an unrelated note, those screenshots really make me want to fly the 757-200. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

April 17, 201214 yr To my knowledge, groomers aren't aloud into the cockpit to clean, only the cabin/lavs/galleys...

April 18, 201214 yr American Airlines uses the single-cue attitude indicator? I thought they used the 3-axis one... Personally, I think the single cue is much easier to fly than the dual cue. I'm dreading the day when I have to fly a plane with a dual cue FD. Dan
April 18, 201214 yr Personally, I think the single cue is much easier to fly than the dual cue. I'm dreading the day when I have to fly a plane with a dual cue FD. Anybody know why they even have two different types? I know it probably stems back from the airlines following the guages they used to have, but why did they come out with two different FD cues to begin with?
April 18, 201214 yr I prefer the dual cue in FS since the single cue always gives me an impression that I'm climbing because its a triangle pointing up. Alex Jevdic --- KORD A<380-----Love at first flight
