Ok for a while now, every time I launch the Flight program and get to the main menu, in the lower right a message pops up "Tormentor - 1 of 10", or something like that, and there is a small circular looking object off to the right of it. Some kind of award maybe? And it stay there in the main menu, as a constant reminder.

 

So what exactly is this? I flew a job several days ago, where I was taking some passengers to another island, and got caught up in a severe wind situation in bad weather at night, and they puked their guts out.

Is this how I got this? And there are nine more like this that can be given out?

How many Frightened Passengers you have?

 

Can you take a picture of the popup you’re getting?

(Use print screen and crop if snipping tool does not work)

 

The tormentor achievement requires 10 Frightened Passengers.

 

If all else fails then do plan B: Take off with 4 passengers and do some full acrobatics with the Maule, then see if your Frightened or Sickened count increases.

To clear it -

Suggest you take multiple passenger charters,

and give each of them a -

- damn good shaking,

- couple of rolls,

- steep dive,

- high-G pull-up.

 

You'll earn the achievement,

but your employment docket will be permanently black-listed.

Take 3 loads of 3 passengers and do what basys recommends. Once you have tormented 10 passengers this will no longer come on your screen.

 

Daily aerocache does the same thing until you have cleared more than 10.

I don't know why that one in particular is poping on game launch (can't recall seeing it before I got the Tormentor "negative" achievement)

I have seen others, like the pentacontacache that popups everytime I start the game

The Achievements are common to all XBox and Live Games - all must offer at least 1000 gamerpoints in Achievements that are then displayed throughout the Live system. Of course, the specific Achievements in each game are different for each one.

 

This particular Achievement - the Tormentor - shows a rather perverse streak in the designers of Flight. Torture your passengers and get 30 points! :LMAO:

If you'd rather take your time, the tormenter gets incremented on hamburger runs as well. If nothing else, it's a good way to test the passenger limits, see how far you get go without pushing them over the edge.

Ok so early this morning I load up a quick hamburger flight - got some gal who was in a big hurry.

Well lemme tell you, she did not much appreciate getting there fast in the RV - I guess cause we were inverted about 1000 ft above the water lol.

Before I got done, I am pretty sure she puked all over the place, and must have passed out cause she didn't say much after the puking.

 

So then now it says 2 of 10 - I then go and load up a job carrying 3 passengers, thinking allright I can take care of 3 more right now. Well they did not much apreciate the aerobatics in the Maule, and that luggage was making an awful sound during the rolls. I land, did not get happy passengers or cargo safe point, but dang I am still at 2 of 10 - guess I did not torment them enough LOL.

I've found that the surest way to get the frightened passenger to add to Tormenter is to do a bit of aerobatics on final approach. That way you land with the frightened icon. It will probably change to the sick icon while you taxi to parking.

 

Check your game stats for frightened and sick. They may or may not be in sync with the Tormenter stats.
