April 19, 201214 yr Does anyone have a good custom TRACKIR 5 profile to use with the 737NGX ? Thanks, Kevin McCarthy
April 19, 201214 yr I'm using the profile posted by Wags over on the DCS forums. It's got about the same sensitivity as the default profile, but with a decent deadzone in the middle. It's not that great for cockpit preflight (Because the deadzone means that you run out of the sensor's FOV fairly quickly), but for flying, it's spectacular. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59974&highlight=wags+trackir Joe Sherrill
April 20, 201214 yr Yes, please! I have the same question... So far, I've stopped using TrackIR. Joseph, I'm getting what you said there: It's not that great for cockpit preflight (Because the deadzone means that you run out of the sensor's FOV fairly quickly), but for flying, it's spectacular. Is there one that is good for both preflight and flying?! i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
April 20, 201214 yr The trick to preflights is looking down a bit & recentering to reach everything on the overhead. Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
April 20, 201214 yr Hi, i am using "Seth" profile. Its good for all actions inside the VC. Maybe some speed adjustment inside TR.IR menue up to your taste. Sorry, I don't have the link handy. But Google should be your helping hand. Oliver Kohl GT-I9100 mit Tapatalk 2 --

For the overhead and radiostack I use custom EZDOK views so I'm not breaking my neck. AJ Pongress
April 20, 201214 yr Commercial Member "Seth" profile as well here - smoothing turned on. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 20, 201214 yr Again ... Yes thats what i am setup as well. TRIR speed is set to 1.5 - 1,7. Only thing i couldn't manage so far, is to limit the view radius to like 120 degrees each side. (for reality) Right now i still got an angle of 180 degrees each side, like a bird does ;-) Oliver --

Is there one that is good for both preflight and flying?! The reason it's not good for preflight is because IRL, the 737 overhead is literally over your head. Wags' TrackIR profile works for preflight, but plan on recentering it often and sitting there with your neck cranked up while you fiddle with the overhead. I find it easier to just set up view that let me look at what I need to use, and turn my TIR on about when I start the APU. Joe Sherrill

April 21, 201214 yr 'Seth' profile, EzDok and hat switch on yoke to move view. I find that sometimes looking down towards the fmc etc I end up looking out of top of my head at the monitor. I use the hat switch to move my view position down and Trackir to change my view then,.
April 21, 201214 yr Guys, Please take the time to make your own it's easy. 1) Get rid of the dead zone, move the middle dot up just above the bottom line, it's that simple. 2) Turn of mirror for pitch, I find a more faster/step curve is better for looking down and a normal one for looking up. It's feels like your glancing down like you would do. 3) Move the Itrack to the left of lineament so you see your 3 lights to the right of the middle, it lets you move more over to the right as that is where you want to go for MCP etc. 4) Set smooth to max and speed to 1-1.5 Have a go it really is easy.
