Attacking a DC-6 with a hammer

Featured Replies

I like the JF DC-6, but it is far too clean and shiny as it comes, so it was time to get the digital hammer out. Here's some pics of my work in progress on giving the Just Flight DC-6 a more contemporary look with some dents and ripples on the skin in order to make it suitable for some latter-day airline repainting:

Great work, Al! Will you make the repaint available on Avsim when you've finished with it?

Looks awesome Al!

Are you using both T texture painting and bump mapping to achieve the effects?

I need to sit down and learn some good bump mapping skills since I'm new to painting in FSX.

At the moment it is just the visual texture, but it could probably using being bump mapped too. And yeah, not much point in showing repaints on here if you aren't gonna share em, so I'll probably fire it up to Avsim's library when completed.
