How many here have MomentumEffect=false with the NGX?

Just wondering... For me, it's easier to land with this off because the head doesn't move all the way almost out of the window. Does anyone else have this off?

I use Ezdok and I cant fly w/o it. I have my head moving around slightly, exasperated by turbulence and touchdown/rollout. To me not having movement creates a very static fake looking display. In fact it is just like in a real aircraft where in turbulence it can be hard to adjust knobs. And in moderate or greater I even get slight vertigo sensations in the clouds just like in the real airplane. You should try it. It is very adjustable so you can limit the movement any way you like.

Can I ask you, is EZDOK a separate application or does it run from the addons menu?

I Use Ezdok and track IR and cant fly without it EZdok is separate but you can use it from the Addons Menu to get the Studio up to do any adjustments, i

use the Angle of Attack Profiles for head movement and Bounce (which makes it way more Realistic) You can Adjust Ezdok using the Cockpit walls

so your not Venturing outside the aircraft, FS2crew is also a Must IMHO then you don't need to worry about the Bouncing Switches Just Have the F/O

set it for you.

There is a Learning Curve but once you get used to it you will Wonder how you ever Flew Without them.

Hope this Helps

Thanks for the replies, I'll look more into EZDOK. I do like those videos people put on YouTube and etc. They get some excellent views.

What he said. It adds, along with all the other stuff.. allot.

I used to be of the opinion that the head latency in FSX was very annoying, making it hard for me to adjust the knobs effectively in the VC's of complex payware aircraft. This was especially noticeable for me a few years back with the PMDG MD-11. But at the same time, I noticed that the cockpit environment was too sterile, very still and with no movement it kind of spoiled the immersion factor for me. Once I tried EZdok, I changed my mind and now have full head latency on for the VC. I have a very subtle vibration effect in flight, and have very little difficulty adjusting the MCP or any other instruments in the NGX. And if I really need precise control with a knob, like adjusting the baro setting, with EZdok I can just toggle off the effect temporarily, a very nice feature to have.

In fact, I'm a little disappointed that with EZdok, I have lost the ability to have the head move back and forth upon acceleration/deceleration on takeoff/landing in the wing views, something I'm pretty sure I had noticed some time back before EZdok. Anyone else here have that issue, only with the wing views?

Use the Handy cam feature and you should be able to do that. Believe me it's a Must have you will Love it !!!!!!!

I was very sceptical to EZCA before... The price looked a bit steep for what it was (on first look).

But last month I decided that since Flight1 has the 30-day-back guarantee anyway, I would just try it... and I was really surprised how much better is it. Not just in airliners, in general.

I use EZCA but I have FSX momentum effect switched off. I don't see why you would want to use both together. EZCA can give you all the motion effect you might want.

Off. My real-world head in the real-world cockpit doesn't have a momentum as it is modeled in FSX either.

Hmmm... where do you put the "MomentumEffect=false" exactly..I see that only my headmovement = 0

Hi

I use 3D Real Cockpit Effects. I love the program, vibrations on Touchdown and as you takeoff and taxi. I've never used EZDOK or EZCA but take a look at this one too.

Hope this helps :)
