May 14, 201214 yr Commercial Member I am an FS9 diehard for personal use outside of developing and it would be a real shame if this indeed our last FS9 release. I'd say there's a better chance it won't be with some certainty. But then again it will truly have a lot to do with the sales figures for us to make the final decision on the 787. The 57 was a no brainer we knew the Avro would be for 9 and X, but it's just really the 787 that is up in the air. We obviously still have a lot of love for FS9, and share many of the same sentiments of you fellow FS9ers on here as well. Emil

May 15, 201214 yr This product looks to me like it's going to raise the bar to a whole new level. If my rig can handle it, I have a feeling that this will be my next obsession! I've noticed that several people have said they are not a fan of the BAe146/ARJ. I've only flown on one twice but both times thought it was an extremely comfortable ride, and although it's not in the same league in terms of looks compared to some classic British jets, (VC10, BAC 111) it still looks elegant. And you get four engines to play with but don't have to sit there for eight boring hours flying over water!! Seriously, (well, sort of seriously) - I'm curious to know what's to not like about the RW aircraft???? Nothing important - just wondering Cheers Ian

Foru engines on such a small regional plane look to me a bit like.... Plus the probably world's most unattractive wing view there is: :P
May 15, 201214 yr One of the reasons people didn't like the 146/RJ in real life is that it had a relatively low service ceiling, which made it a bit of an arseache in European airspace on occasions, so the fact that some simmers are not overly-keen on it is possibly a reflection on that, although in fairness, the later models can go up a bit higher. Another, is probably that it 'isn't a Boeing'. All of that is reminiscent of the initial reaction to PMDG's efforts when they revealed that their secret project was the BAe Jetstream J41. May 16, 201214 yr I note that the QW 146/RJ is now on sale in the Flight 1 shop where it is listed as "Download coming soon". It is however relatively expensive at $47.99 but for that you get both the FS9 and FSX versions and if is anything like their 757s then it will be well worth the cost. Can't wait for it and hopefully it will also come with that fairly unique 146 sound! QW must be congratulated and should be supported for continuing to provide for FS9. Yeah but the Bae146 had to be quieter, it was meant to go into smaller airports closer to city centers. 2 engines couldn't do that job at the time without being too noisy (remember this plane was developed in the late 1970's).
