May 20, 201214 yr FSBuild all the way, winds aloft, great fuel burn tables available. Navdata support, just the best and always has been. Randy Swofford
May 20, 201214 yr Author Ok Ok.. Im leaning towards FSBuild as some guys are mentioning Navdata, Winds aloft, fuel burn, great sid/star planning etc, these things are ticking all the right boxes. Does it work in conjunction with AS2012? Chris Howard
May 20, 201214 yr Author FSCommander. Has moving map. You can try it for free. From Aerosoft? Chris Howard
May 20, 201214 yr If you want something now, I would recommend FSBuild for the reasons stated by others. Yes it works with AS2012, yes it works with REX, yes it uses navigraph. It can use winds aloft for performance, altitude, etc. I have been using it since forever. It does not have a moving map, but that isn't flight planning. The user interface is functional but not the best it could be, yet it works. Like others, including you, I'm waiting "to see how PFPX turns out" and will probably switch if it's as advertised. dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
May 20, 201214 yr You can't go wrong with FSBuild, I have used it for many years and about to plan a flight right now from ZBAA to KSEA no hassles with FSB, the very best flight planner to date. Bob
May 20, 201214 yr I lurv FS Build! But then I don't know commander since I have never used it.. so this is a statement without comparing. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
May 21, 201214 yr You know it can't , that's exactly why you asked. No, I don't.I know it does import winds from ASE but I could never figure out (for sure) if the planner just imports the winds and presents them to you in the navlog or if it creates the plan taking into considering winds aloft too. This is why I ask.
