That looks to me like the front of a jet engine. Which one or from what plane? Who knows. Only Microsoft of course - as usual.

I hate these teasers. Why can`t they just come straight out with it and tell us what they have planned!

However after having a closer look I think it`s the engine cowl and prop spinner of the Corsair

I kind of like the teasers, but I don't get how this can be a WWII airplane. It's clearly a turbine, but didn't the jets of the 40s have their turbine blades hidden quite deeply within the engines? And did the US have any jets at all during the war, let alone on Hawaii?

Try downloading the image and brightening up the shadows. That looks like a head-on view of a radial engine.

Hmf, you're right :-( It's probably just the nose of the Corsair with a spinning prop. Had my hopes up there...

Yep, Corsair for SURE!!

I also am not too fond of those 'teasers'... I also wish they simply told us what they are up to indeed. It almost feels as if I am treated like a little kid... What's the fun of being teased about a warbird without a cockpit anyway... I don't know who is in charge of marketing and communications over there but they might consider hiring someone else for that job.

Meh, it's another toy plane without a cockpit. And yes, I find the teasers to be annoying too. Just give me Alaska and I'll (hopefully) be content.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Yep, one glimpse at that teaser pic and the Corsair theory was confirmed.

A round opening with something round in the middle doesn't make it a jet.

And now I'm torn... Even cockpitless, this one will actually tempt me. Must... resist... stupidity...

LOL Go with the flow and don't get too uptight and dogmatic about some virtual plane...

Nah, it's not just principles... it's the whole "voting with your dollars" thing... Every sale is somebody asking for more of these, from their point of view.

It's a Beaver! And what you can't see from the pic is that there are plain wheels, floats and tundra tyres included among the various schemes (as well as a cockpit)! And Alaska will be released in time for the end of Spring!

No?

Pity.

(sorry... I'm trying to stay positive, but really....)

:LMAO:

I know the feeling! After this much waiting, and the toy airplane disappointments, I'm really hoping Alaska turns out to be something special. I remain cautiously optimistic.
