I require urgent help

Featured Replies

Hello All.

I need urgent help to get me up to date on what has happened since the release of the 800-900NGX. Unfortunately, just after purchasing this aircraft I took very ill. I was away from flying, or anything else for many months while in hospital and I lost part of my memory as a result of this illness, with the help of professionals I have slowly regained a lot that I had lost, but I am struggling with parts of my FSX, in particular with this lovely aircraft. I have downloaded and installed it, but never gone past that point, I see I have printed out a manual.

Could some kind person tell me what has happened since it's delivery to the public and has there been any updates etc.

I would be very grateful to any help you are able to give me.

Regards and thanks,

Jim, zl2bmh.

Sorry for your problems, but good to hear you are on the right track back.

The airplane had been updated several times, download the SP1c - it has all the updates. The 600/700 expansion had been published, you can buy it at PMDG site. The SDK had been published, and with it went FS2Crew, addition well worth the price.

Other than that... well, dozens of repaints have been published, some neat videos with flying tips have surfaced, the DC-6, 777 and 747 have been announced...

Also, the next iteration of FSX turns out to be an arcade game called MS Flight. Extremely disappointing as no third party developers are allowed and the basic flying area is Hawaii. Don't waste your time. PMDG seems to be putting most of the development eggs into the Xplane basket, as P3D has some licensing anomolies. The great news, as Fabo stated, is the DC-6, 777, and 747 Version 2 have been announced.

The world is teetering on the brink of financial meltdown, with Spain and Greece close to default, which threatens to take the Euro down with it. The US continues our march towards pure Socialism with the few supporting the many. New Zealand sounds like a great place to live.

FSX remains, by far, my best escape from this madness and corruption.

Glad to hear you are back. Best of health to you and good flying.

P.S. There are 719 liveries in the AVSIM file library for the NGX painted by 113 separate, mostly talented repainters. I'm still watching and reading the Dantrix tutorials.

Also important to note that their is now a detailed tutorial available that was not available when you initially purchased the NGX, probably the best place to start. Glad you are back!

I like how you put it. Although I never realised it is that many... that works out to more than two repaints daily, does it not...

What illness causes memory loss? I was in the hospital many times 3 yers ago fighting Non Hodgekins lymphoma. I actually had my lap top with FS9 on it to keep me out of the long bored days and nights. I hope all is fine. This Board can help solve all your FSX problems.
