June 6, 201214 yr They are a thing of pride in New Zealand They are incredible looking planes... I'd love to be in one on my way to NZ too! The amateur engineer in me though of the poor thing sitting in line at JFK for 2 hours in the middle of July @ 101^F on a sunny day... then climbing out to FL420 @ -60^F!

June 6, 201214 yr What was that JetProp back there? Looks like a cross between a King Air and a PC-12. Stunning in 1080... holy cow.

June 6, 201214 yr Author That is the Beech 1900D: The third All Black plane is an A320. It would be really awesome to see a 787 All Blacks plane.... You bet! The 787 Dreamliner (and it's big brother, the 787 Dreamlifter) are two very amazing airplanes... more fuel-efficient, and with 50,000 fewer rivets and gobs of metal panels they did away with... 1 word for the 787: STUNNING. I hope I live long enough to buy the PMDG 787! R. Scott McDonald B738/L Information is anecdotal only-without guarantee & user assumes all risks of use thereof. Click here for my YouTube channel
June 6, 201214 yr Wow, those are beautiful planes. I have always loved the All Blacks logo, I don't even follow rugby, but I can appreciate a nice clean design.
June 7, 201214 yr In speeded-up video, you get a quick look at what makes America great - smart people building great products. Also a lot of other places; here's were the 787 is built for example: http://supplychainlo...7/untitled2.jpg The black paint hasn't been an issue with heat, their are many airforce aircraft painted black so this isn't really a first for aircraft, just unusual for a commercial airliner. It's only not an issue if you ensure beforehand it won't be. I can ensure you that it was investigated before that paint scheme was applied (and if it wasn't, remind me not to fly that plane to Dubai). Even just the 'small' patch of black on the tail of the Emirates logo caused issues on the A380 until they modified the resin used in those composite parts. John-Alan Pascoe
