June 4, 201214 yr Where the crew sleeps on long 777 flights? Or here... Or what the logo light (the one that lights up the tail) looks like? Well, there you go. Sorry about the usless post. Allan Burek
June 5, 201214 yr Very Cool. It's posts like these that keep us on the edge of our seats waiting for the 777 release. It would be pretty cool to see some video. Maybe of system tests? Thanks!Nick CrateChief Executive OfficerFedEx Virtual Air Cargo
June 5, 201214 yr That airport looks really familiar! Also for those that dont get to NYC area much, if you look at the building right before the 737's nose, that is the new One World Trade Center in progress. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
June 5, 201214 yr You have a test in mind? Nah, I was just throwing ideas out. I know there is a guy on YouTube that posts random 737 BITE tests- just something pretty cool to see a different aspect of the aircraft. Thanks!Nick CrateChief Executive OfficerFedEx Virtual Air Cargo
June 5, 201214 yr About the crew rest area, is it in the cockpit (On the cockpit side of the door) or is it outside of the cockpit? And can the rest area be closed with that door? Just curious, I just think that it looks like the cockpit on the far right of the 1st pic. Thanks for sharing! Thanks, Kevin L
June 5, 201214 yr The crew rest is outside of the cockpit. It looks like a simple locker-room when closed. And when opened and locked, the door closes entire access to the cockpit. Regards, Jerry
June 5, 201214 yr I'd really like to know how is the access to the crew cabin. I heard they are somewhere above the galleys, but I've never seen how is the path to get there. Matheus Mafra
June 5, 201214 yr Since this is a freighter, the crew rest area doesn't need to be above the galley, they have ample space to put them in the cabin. Name available upon request
June 5, 201214 yr In the -F, the crew rest is the same as in the -200's. The crew rest you are reffering to, above the ceiling, is in the -300's ;) More above the first class than the galley. Regards, Jerry
June 5, 201213 yr After reading up on it.... The flight crew's rest area is always behind the cockpit (providing the airline chooses to install one.). However, an extra overhead rest area can be installed in any series (-200 or -300). An other option is a place reserved in the cargo hold, with some bunks. I always thought the overhead rest area was standard, and the rest area behind the cockpit was reserved for the freighters. In hindsight, I think you'd be hard pressed to find two cabins that are fitted exactly the same, even within the same airline. Name available upon request
