I have everything up and running as far as the screens go, but the aircraft won't stay on it get's to 3.9 epr and shuts down the engine,even if I turn everything on? I also cannot enter any values into the fmc that needed to be added as per the flight plan. Any suggestions?

I do not have the problem where the engines shut down, but I do have the problem where I cannot use the scratchpad to enter data into the FMC.

After reading this thread, I've got the JB panel installed with Posky's 777s, as I cannot wait for PMDG's T7 to fly to Flytampa's awesome Dubai. As some have stated, it is worth it. But one nagging thing for me is that I'm not able to select the Heading button. The original Posky VC has a Heading button that once selected follows whatever heading you've input. But in JB panel, this panel is replaced by a Heading Hold button, which has a different function. Am I missing something in the VC, or is this something I have to select in the 2D panel since this panel was optimized for 2D in the first place? Thanks for your help.

The VC, unfortunately, doesn't really function much. The heading button is indeed on the 2D panel; it's activated by pressing the "SEL" button in the middle of the heading knob.

Hope it helps,

Thanks,

Hi Captain, thanks for your response. Oh so close with this one button to make the VC 100% independent :wacko: :lol: . Oh well, considering everything else eg FMC, etc that it offers as Freeware, one certainly does not complain! Thanks for this thread. This combination is probably one of the best freeware out there for FSX. I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience and it really didn't take that long to put together as the instruction provided by Greg Wilson in the JB panel zip file was comprehensive and self explanatory (at least to me). Cheers.

Yeah, he really did a great job on the panel and documentation. Systems-wise, it's probably just as good as the CS model, and not too remote from what the PMDG one will offer. The VC actually has quite a few functions that can't be used, notably the FMC and the overhead.

Thanks,

Adlai

agree and yes I paid into the CS T7 hype and even at version 0.9 its still "collecting dust" and uninstalled in my PC. Unplayable - poor frames, a RAT that won't stay closed and a quirky security feature that causes the landing gears to operate unpredictably. I might visit CS T7 once it hits Version 2 or something, and that is if it continues to be enhanced / developed beyond version 1. Lessons learned for me. I don't want to bash CS (apparently some of their other offerings are decent) or have this email interpreted that way but if I ever spend $ on them, I will wait until the product matures.

An exceptional panel indeed. I have taken a few flights with it so far but have had a continuous problem on the EICAS readout of hydraulic system cautions. I'm showing the following:

Hyd Press Sys C

Hyd Qty Sys C

Hyd Press Dem C2

Hyd Press Pri C2

Hyd Press Pri C1

Just wondering if anyone else shows these messages in normal flight? The AC fly's just fine and I have read the panel pdf but can not figure out where the problem lies. I have toggled all the hyd switches but can not correct the problem.

Thanks

In the Aircraft.cfg hydraulic_system section, set the number of electric pumps to 1.

[hydraulic_system]

electric_pumps=1

engine_map=1,1,0,0

normal_pressure=3000.000000

Thanks for the headsup!

I going to use the gauges in my own panel, 3 screens wide.. with 3 for the outside view.

Like this, but then for the 777.. just for the fun of it.
