April 1, 201412 yr On the plus side I finally got MCX working... Apparently it must be installed on your OS drive. Because I had it installed to my FSX only drive which is a SSD and it simply wouldn't display the files. Here Ron, just for you (thread hijack!!).... the N number is still a place holder.... I had a fit of rage remembering how to even use photoshop.... what a nightmare. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
April 1, 201412 yr Good grief. The first post in this topic is in regards to opening of a CLUB in the old AVSIM Social Groups for Lancair owners. It was not a product support forum by the producer. It was a social group. It was deleted when we removed the old groups system because of inactivity. The reason you can't get access is because the club no longer exists! This topic is over 2 years old (or was)... Exactly my point. I bought the product, registered in this said forum, even made several posts in it. But now, it requires a password. You did???? That's interesting - since it had nothing to do with registering the product... Did this group vanish? Yes, a year ago.

April 2, 201412 yr Hi Chaps, I didn't actually know that the Legacy owners club was deleted (thanks for letting me know Tom). It was not ever a support forum but a place where painters could let others know of their new liveries, and for general discussion about the Legacy. As ever, for the last 13-14 years we have email support which (except for rare holidays) responds within hours and sometimes minutes, and in holiday times rarely longer than 24 hours. April 2, 201412 yr I didn't actually know that the Legacy owners club was deleted (thanks for letting me know Tom). It was deleted over a year ago and you were not the person that set it up. You just noticed? :Big Grin:
April 2, 201412 yr .. It was deleted over a year ago and you were not the person that set it up. You just noticed? :Big Grin: How to get out of that one! Ah...well I had noticed that it was lying dormant around a year or so ago when the enthusiasm for repaints had calmed down, but I hadn't realised it was actually discontinued. Will that do? Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
April 2, 201412 yr Hey Tom and Rob, would it be possible to create an 'unofficial' RealAir forum here ala the 'unofficial' Carenado, Milviz, Orbx...etc here? It would be great to have a central place for support questions/answers, FAQs, repaint threads, update notices, product announcements...etc. Cheers TJ "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley

April 3, 201412 yr Hi pilottj, Tom has kindly offered to host a forum quite a few times. But for now we are sticking to email support only. We are not large enough to man a permanent forum as well as email support, and the latter is extremely important to us and our customers. As it is, we do monitor this and other forums and always reply when issues crop up. But our email-only support has been very popular and on the whole well regarded. Spreading ourselves over several general/public forums, email and a dedicated support forum just repeats what we do over and over again. I know that is a different approach than that of some other devs, but it works. Email also helps us identify registered customers and we already answer queries from potential or non-customers via email and public forums. April 3, 201412 yr Now that the AVSIM Groups system is back up and running, someone could set up a new Legacy Owners Club Group in seconds. Doesn't have to be Rob. Anyone could set it up.
April 3, 201412 yr But why? The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
April 3, 201412 yr But why? Well if you want to get philosophical .. ... why have any forum? ... Why have a FSX Section? ... Why have AVSIM? The Groups are just small forum sections, that can be set up by any member. Smaller groups can then talk about anything they wish within the group. So I guess, if there was once a Group set up for the RealAir Legacy, then there must have been a reason why people wanted to have it. Presumably (it's a contraversial one I know  ) to discuss the RealAir Legacy?
April 3, 201412 yr  Don't get me wrong, the Legacy is a terrific plane. Still on the top of my 'Favourites'. But what's to discuss? The thing doesn't have any inherent problems or 'quirks'. Install and fly, the way it should be! If there was a weekly fly-in online it would have some relevance. Now there's an idea. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
