June 25, 201213 yr Been using a cheap Logitech Attack 3 for over half a decade. Finally ready to go to something different. I don't need a ton of featuers or buttons. Right now I only map my flaps in/out, brakes, speedbrake, and speedbrake arm to the joystick + it has a throttle control. Only real concern is that whatever I get needs to have a way to control the rudder, through a twist grip, or whatever. More and more I've found myself struggling to keep the centerline in weather and unable to really fly props because controlling the rudder with the keyboard is just impossible.
June 25, 201213 yr You should seriously consider a set of rudder pedals. It will change your flight sim experience for the better. There are many different opinions but, I realy like my CH Products pedals. Joe Brown
June 25, 201213 yr Thrustmaster T.16000M. Been using this badboy for almost 2 years, and still working flawlessly. Precise, stable, ergonomic, plenty of buttons and cheap. Only downside is throttle control, but as soon as you get used to it (like me), it's OK. Cheers, George.
June 27, 201213 yr I've got a Thrustmaster Hotas X for a year or so. Still tight. I think it's quite serviceable. Under $50. Will go for rudder pedals next. Maybe Saitek??
July 4, 201213 yr I've got a Thrustmaster Hotas X for a year or so. Still tight. I think it's quite serviceable. Under $50. +1. Nothing beats it for the price. Twist grip for rudder and you can even program a spring loaded two way switch on the throttle for steering. Michael Gadeberg
July 11, 201213 yr I have been using a Saitek X-45, Logitech 3D, Logitech Attack and Saitek Yoke. The last one just got replaced by an Thrustmaster T.16000M and I have to say, I'm never will be looking back because it is just so precise due to it's magnetic hall sensors. It is just so much more precise in control input then my previous controllers. My setup: Thrustmaster T.16000M, Saitek Throttles and rudder pedals. Lennart
July 13, 201213 yr I've been using Saitek Cyborg Evo FFB in recent years but just recently the twist grip for rudder has failed me (on final in A2A mustang tch). The time has come Gents to finally save up for those rudder pedals. Kind Regards Simon.
