Wouldn't it be cool if PMDG did a CRJ-200?

Featured Replies

What I really think would be a cool side project is a Gulfstream or some type of long range business jet

That would be cool! I'd love to see a Citation X and Gulfstream IV at PMDG quality.

One can still wish for a PMDG DC-8 or DC-10, right? :)

No.

No.

How rude! Ya, well, I hope PMDG never make a CRJ. There!

LOL :)

Would love to see PMDG do a CRJ someday, maybe after the rest of the 737 variants, the 777, and the 747X v2 are all delivered within the next few years. There are plenty of ways PMDG could differentiate their CRJ product from other products in the marketplace - a CRJ-200 being one example, or a high-fidelity CRJ NextGen series.

I think it would be absolutely killer to have an all-PMDG virtual fleet. 777 or 747 for long haul flights, 737 NG for short or medium haul flights, and a CRJ for regional routes.

Gulfstream wont release their blueprints to any simulator company so don't count on a high quality gulfstream.

sorry guys

That's annoying :(

The CRJ 200 is the aircraft I fly the most on as a passenger. Would love to see a pmdg version of it. IMHO pmdg could probably finish the T7 the 747 v2 and have a crj200 out before you will see the Aerosoft/DA bird.

That's so stupid of them

The Aerosoft / DA one will be good, but certainly not PMDG quality.

No other company pays such attention to detail

I think a PMDG CRJ-200 would get as much flight time as almost any other aircraft in FSX. PMDG really are the masters of the VC and modeling aircraft systems and flight characteristics. The CRJ is a very straightforward and simplistic aircraft and simmers would flock to it (at least in the US) if we follow the premise that simmers want to fly what they "fly in" and see.

A quick sample of airborne flights on Flightaware right now at 9:55PM CST is posted below.

If we total up CRJ 200, 700, & 900 variants you have 300 flights up right now. Only the 737-800 and A320 have more flights active at the moment. I would love to do some market research for PMDG (for free :P ) on the demand and ultimate popularity of this aircraft. I personally would get a Delta (ASA) paint scheme and fly the wings off of the thing! The CRJ also has some performance quirks that would make the machine dear to all who fly her.

Another vote for "The Barbie Jet".

If PMDG wont make make the plane they could at least revamp the VC to the FSX CRJ 700 to their quality then I'll be a happy camper!

I think i might just start a thread on that topic!

Yes, but 90% of the users here don't use X-plane
