July 3, 201213 yr I seem to remember somebody from the team insinuating how cool it would be if PMDG made a CRJ as well. Not in 2003 tho, it was within the last year or two Johan Pettersen
July 3, 201213 yr If you've ever rode in a CRJ-200, you will probably fall in love with it. Those things are low to the ground, and the engine sounds are amazing. Im just saying that the 737 has been modeled by developers thousands of times... EVERY developer develops a 737... if PMDG did a plane out of the ordinary, it would certainly make the mark and publicity. But I know the chances are slim. And I agree, the CRJ is all over. If you fly to denver or minneapolis, delta owns a Crapload And we need a airplane in FSX to handle those extremely short flights.... like 30 min flights, the NGX just doesn't make sense for that... And lets keep this discussion friendly.. lets not Bash PMDG or eachother
July 3, 201213 yr I 100% agree that I'd like to see PMDG model the CRJXXX line, but I believe there was a post from Ryan within the last few days saying one was definintely NOT in the pipeline. He has always said he would like to see them do one, but the reality of it happening is small. My home airport sees about 80% CRJ, 15% ERJ and 5% MD8X service. I've always wanted a CRJ for FS for those short (<1.5 hour) flights. But I don't see a quality one happening anytime soon unfortunately. Adam Hill
July 3, 201213 yr Well....I think PMDG should just do every plane ever made!! HEHE. Get crackin' Jeff D. Nielsen (KMCI) https://www.twitch.tv/pilotskcx https://discord.io/MaxDutyDay VENGEANCE a8200 Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 4TB (2TB/2TB) M.2 SSD, Win11 Pro
July 3, 201213 yr I typed one word "Regional" in the search engine. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/376796-regional-jet/#entry2394255 Fareed
July 3, 201213 yr I'd say you can't go to an airport with airline traffic and manage to not see one. Here in Australia no one has any CRJ IIRC. Thanks, Kevin L
July 3, 201213 yr I have never seen a crj in the uk or anywhere in europe for that matter. Although I would buy anything pmdg made I have to admit that the crj does nothing for me. For me the most needed aircraft for fs is still yet to come and I won't mention what it is because people do get excited over what others say. There is one on the way though. I just hope it's up to scratch. Regards 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
July 3, 201213 yr Not as cool as when they release that DC-6. Al Or the Woodpigeon... Matthew Bellette
July 3, 201213 yr If PMDG models anything from Barbardier, I would want to see the new CSeries Bombardier is close to completing. Some decent regionals already exist; the Feelthere ERJ series and E-Jets series. To reply to a guy a few posts back, PMDG has already done something out of the ordinary when they modeled the J41. Personally I wanted to see an EMB-120, but the J41 is extremely satisfying to fly. Once the 777 comes out, I think my own personal fleet will be complete (minus an updated 767-300 that actually works, or even a 767-400 with glass cockpit). 777 for long hauls, NGX for short to mid flights, and my JS41 for regional and express stuff. If Level-D ever comes out with their 757 (and if it doesn't look like it's already 8 years old on release), it would fit nicely in between the 737 and the 777. A CRJ is nice, but at this point I don't think it's absolutely required for the flightsim community to have one modelled. An airbus on the other hand...well that's a different story. Here's hoping that FSLabs can pull it off by the end of the year. AJ Pongress
July 3, 201213 yr Just a thought. Not pushing anything. Just astonishes me how the CRJ-200 is probably one of the most popular and well known regional aircraft in the world and NO---- NONE--- nada developer has developed a qiality crj-200 model for FSX Would love to see the 200, and just so you know there is a developer doing a 100-200, I saw it posted somewhere here at avsim, with a link to their website, never heard of them before. But for the life of me I can't seem to find the thread again.
July 4, 201213 yr Rather see the woodpigeon. Ian Paxton The lights are dimming on FSX and only getting brighter for XPX.
July 4, 201213 yr Haha well, I guess it just says that everyone has different tastes on what planes they like... mainly because they ride on them the most. I live in a very desolate area so all they have is a CRJ.. so I ride on that thing alot. It's true the CRJ isn't in every country... but in the U.S it's a common appearance. And I agree that they did model the BAE, so I rest my case! :D But it still bugs me that no developer has modeled a good CRJ-200 for FSX. I know Wilco has the CRJ-700/900/1000, but not to bash wilco or anything... but it's lacking alot of stuff that makes a plane real.
