July 9, 201213 yr Sent the blank textures to you Ray, get painting LOL Al Thanks Al. I'm started on a 40a paint. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
July 9, 201213 yr Appreciate the suggestion but I wonder whether we shouldn't stick closer to (a) the standard layout as demanded by other posters and ( what most Baslers have. Re visibility, you can click the yoke and it moves out of the way. The Polar 5 panel looks like this (with the flaps indicator just over the throttle levers, way down below). I'm all for the most realistic panel going. The closer to a real world panel, the better. It is just given the choice of a easily readable Flap indicator vs a Suction gauge, the Flaps would trump the suction every time on my panel. I got a glance of a real world flap gauge just above and slightly left of the throttles in one of the Candian jobs. That would be a good place for sure. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
July 9, 201213 yr Just keeps getting better. The Navy paint, posted this morning, has autogen people on the ground coming out of their houses and looking up! (only a SLIGHT exaggeration!) John Wingold
July 9, 201213 yr The Navy paint, posted this morning, has autogen people on the ground coming out of their houses and looking up! Sounds like PeopleFlow entering the next stage of conciousness. ^_^ I like the gauge layout suggestions. When looking through some possible gauge templates from the default FSX planes, I've stumbled upon the digital VSI from the King Air. I also like the altimeter at times.
July 9, 201213 yr My idea of gauges for FSX is fairly simple. Smooooth, easy to read, and in full view (the higher the resolution in VC, the better). Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
July 10, 201213 yr I have one (probably stupid) question. While reading the instructions (yes, I read them), in the section about autopilot usage, there is mention of middle clicking "lock". I must be overlooking something for I cannot find "lock". Also, Ray, here, hopefully is a picture of the R4D in Iceland. Please excuse the quality - I took it from a slide I had. Also, this funny looking guy inside it. John Wingold
July 10, 201213 yr Great Photos. Looks almost older than dirt. When I do the R4D repaint I can make you one based on the photos with the correct reg #. That Icelantic paint is similar to the museum photos. Mostly the nose is different. I mean other than all that red ice. When I read the instructions all I remember was you could press the middle scroll wheel to lock the throttles. I missed the part about the autopilot. I will reread it tomorrow. Ray When Pigs Fly . July 10, 201213 yr Regarding the new panel, getting rid of the suction thing is fine by me. And I'll try placing the Flaps Indicator close to where it is on Polar 5. May be able to post a link to a new interior model for you to try out later. Edit, here it is, see how you like it: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/51024107/BT67_interior_newpanel.zip I'll rework the panel background, obviously and possibly double it in size so that the placards are less fuzzy. Seeing all those paints here I'll also try to talk Daniel into letting you have the bare texture shades with just the rivets and panel layers. Not really a paintkit but something that could make life easier. Speaking of the R4D museum piece, that paint and model already exists, just do a search for r4d-5 on flightsim.

This is the newest one: 6 more to come (painting list can be found on my homepage) Greetings, Daniel Greetings, Daniel Texture Artist and Scenery DeveloperCheesy Simulations
July 10, 201213 yr Great service, guys. :clapping: I like the idea of the reworked panel background and I also like what I see on the upcoming liveries. Keep em coming.

Manfred, I loaded up the new interior panel that you have in work. I think it will be a good improvement. Thanks for working on it. If you have time, I would like to see the flap indicator in the blank spot along the bottom (2 positions to the right from the original spot). With the new Polar 5 location I think the Throttles will keep it hidden except for the last phase of final approach. Any power greater than about 30% or so will have it totally blocked from view. With the yoke in place or removed I think the blank spot in the bottom row is visible and would be a good candidate for the flap gauge. Thanks for working or this. I found all your R4D paints over at flightsim and have downloaded them. Now I have to get the base FSX DC3 addon. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
July 10, 201213 yr Another fan has posted his shots. http://forum.avsim.n...-bt-67-for-fsx/ Look...developers have even provided you with hand sanitizer!
July 10, 201213 yr This is how it looks now, I think I'll leave it at that. Note sharper placards and new ASI. This is going to be part of an Update package. There are some other things we have to iron out still. Thanks everybody for the suggestions made here.
