July 10, 201213 yr This is how it looks now, I think I'll leave it at that. Note sharper placards and new ASI. This is going to be part of an Update package. There are some other things we have to iron out still. Thanks everybody for the suggestions made here. :good: Thank you very, very much!
July 10, 201213 yr I'm feeling very much like the most badass explorer right now with that turbine DC-3. Anything she can't do? :spiteful: On the AP, I wonder if the announcer panel works for you folks. I don't get it to show the modes. On another occasion I was wondering how realistic a yaw damper would be on the BT-67. It's easy to add via the aircraft.cfg, hence my question. Establishes some pause for the feet. Oops, it's already there but I don't see the announcement coming up. Therefore I thought that it's not available.
July 10, 201213 yr With AP off, select the mode, then select AP and they will show. Kinda backwards. Dave
July 10, 201213 yr Have you tried that on the BT-67? Asking because the C208 (where the gauge comes from) does show the modes. Now from looking at the panel.cfg of the Basler, I guess the gauge (entry) is missing. Can you check that, Dave, the proper mode display on the Basler? An extremely nice detail on the Basler is that lit AP button on the yoke. That's love for the details! But the annunciator panel stays dark.
July 10, 201213 yr All the AFCS systems I worked on in RL, puhing the button didn't just turn on the light. Pushing the button sent a signal to the computer to engage that mode, and if it engaged ok then it would send a signal to turn on the button light. I don't have it installed right now. I un-installed, downloaded and installed "besler_sp1.zip". It is not the same. I un-installed it. The panel.cfg shows the Bendix AP in cockpit2. I don't know why it works backward from other installs (AP on, mode select on). Dave
July 10, 201213 yr I think we are talking at cross-purposes, Dave. I should have been more precise. I'm just on the annunciator panel on the Basler. It stays dark and I was assuming that the actual gauge entry is missing in the panel.cfg. I've checked it on the default C208 and it works (as seen in the second post), so my assumption continues and declares it an easy to fix flaw. The AP itself is present in the cockpit and works fine, right you are. Since it's the default FSX AP, it may involve some different operation philosophy, but that's not a problem at all. More of a thing to get used to. Guess we agree on that. On those downloads. Could it be that you've only downloaded the SP1 but not the plane itself then? Sounds like. Find the initial release in Alan's post. http://forum.avsim.n...-dc-3-released/ The first fix is separate and can be found here. http://forum.avsim.n...25#entry2413230 Combine both and you should be set.
July 10, 201213 yr I can't help with that. Maybe Ray will know what they did and what the fix is. Dave
July 10, 201213 yr Sure, would be nice to see someone testing the function of the annunciator panel. I wonder why I didn't see it before, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong or just was too busy enjoying the plane.
July 10, 201213 yr Still trying to finish all textures till firday. It's a real challenge! Mauritania Air Force (WIP) Wings missing, some alphas at the back ... still a lot to do! Greetings, Daniel Texture Artist and Scenery DeveloperCheesy Simulations
July 10, 201213 yr Beautiful! Hey, Daniel, don't hurry too much. I still recall you being 'hit' by that teeth surgery. I hope the race on Sunday went nice by the way.
July 10, 201213 yr Author Well, if anyone else wants to have a crack at painting and is familiar with the replace colour functions and overlay layer modes in PS (since you will have to be, in order to make use of this single layer bare metal texture set if you want to maintain the panel lines), then here you go: http://www.yousendit...qays1aVlFSzhUQw Incidentally, there is a minor error on the anti-dazzle panel, but nothing you cannot sort with two seconds' work in PS if you know what you are doing. There are some other things we have to iron out still. Thanks everybody for the suggestions made here. Nice and sharp. Will wait for the update. I see the flaps gauge has a new position. I like that. Looks like you lifted the ASI from the rw Polar 5. I hope that don't miss it. If they do, Chock can teach them how to use the GPS ground speed for a make shift AS indicator to get home. I wonder why I didn't see it before, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong or just was too busy enjoying the plane. Maybe they just need to check the *.cab listing and make sure the gauges got included. My red AP button the the yoke does work as at start point for turning the AP on or off or as a status indicator if I use my hardware AP or the panel mounded AP. Another nice feature. July 10, 201213 yr The AP annuciator guage is missing in Vcockpit01, Adding below displays the annunciator. CoolIP Reminder: Add the Cessna208B_XML.cab from the default C208 panel folder to the Bassler panel folder. Or the FSX gauge folder, your choice. Panel.cfg [Vcockpit01] gaugeXX=Cessna208B_XML!annunciator_panel_2, 344,3,117,48 XX=next numeric gauge. Mine is 25. -For those with FSpanel studio. It's vector/hole is just above the DME display in Vcockpit01
July 10, 201213 yr Rendi, you is da man! Works like a treat. Perhaps to add, one needs that Cessna208B_XML.cab in the Basler's panel folder. So one must copy it from the C208's folder.
