July 8, 201213 yr I use a combination of F1 View and Active Camera to move around the VC. The mouse wheel moves you forwards and backwards in the VC. In the iFly 737 you just click next to the knob in the MCP to rotate it, or on a PMDG aircraft hover until the little hand appears. In the Airsimmer you use the mouse wheel to rotate the knobs on the FCU, so there's a conflict OK, I see your point now, Ben. Yes, the FCU knobs are not turned with mouse clicks since it simulates something specific to Airbus FCU operation: pulling and pushing the knobs to get managed and selected modes of your autoflight. But you can click on the digits! All other knobs, like radio, baro, lighting, etc, are directly mouse-click operatable. I don't use F1. I do use FSRecorder, which also is free and 100 times better combined with, just like in your case, Active Camera. I do not use mouse wheel for moving (I would not find it convenient). Instead if I really need to move, I just choose the FS9 move key combos (with Ctrl, Shift, Enter and Backspace). I do use FSRecorder to quickly jump to preset views (main panel, overhead, MCDU, wingviews, etc) and Active Camera to look around. It works fantastic! There is a post at the AS forum where I explain how to do it (it's easy) with FSR. If you need any more assistance on that, just let me know. EDIT: Rob was faster!
July 8, 201213 yr Good stuff guys. I'll try some of your tips. Rob, I'll give you a shout over at the AS forum and hopefully you can help me become a Bus convert. My old flying instructor is a good mate of mine and now is a 'Bus captain for Easyjet so I've no shortage of help flying the thing - just getting it installed is the tricky bit;)
July 8, 201213 yr just getting it installed is the tricky bit;) Now that sounds so much better! :good:

He still did not answer some of my questions which were intended to help him, so this is his choice to reach for a refund. I don't want to try it!!!!! All my other aircraft PMDG, WILCO, iFLY etc work ok with my setup , I have 3 joysticks connected and all have axis assigned, none of my other payware products have any problem with that. I WILL NOT make any exception for Airsimmer, that's why I will make a refund, and I will buy QW Bae 146 which, I don't think will have any problems with all my joysticks setup.IF Airsimmer will make the airbus to work like all other products I WILL BUY IT again, I LOVE AIRBUS SO MUCH!!!!! July 8, 201213 yr Well you won't regret getting the QW 146 - it is a superb FS9 addon and one you can just jump into and fly if that is what you want. I very much divide my airliner flying time now between the 146 and the iFly 737, with the Dreamfleet 727, Level-D 767 and PMDG 747 and MD-11 getting the occasional shake out too! It is difficult to believe how spoiled for choice we are now with so many good quality aircraft addons for FS9 and difficult to believe that new aircraft are still appearing years after the prophets of doom said FS9 was on the way out! July 8, 201213 yr I don't want to try it!!!!! No problem. In this case I agree the 30-day refund seems the best option for you. Flight1 has a great customer policy in that matter. It is difficult to believe how spoiled for choice we are now with so many good quality aircraft addons for FS9 True, true.

July 8, 201213 yr "Ben, what APU Ctd are you talking about? First I have heard of it. 1% flying is bit misleading don't you think?" Come on Rob - even you must know about the APU CTD. We all know about it and the workaround but its still there.

We all know about it and the workaround but its still there. I don't know about it. I've never had it. I did have one the other day just flying from KL to Penang, but I feel that it was just a 'standard' CTD. But never had one related to the APU.
