Scenery FlightZone 02 Portland, Wow!

I think a lot of people own it. It's a very well known product. I've never tried it as it's not really part of 'my' world. I believe there's no longer any support for it. A classic in it's time though, by all accounts.

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

It is probabl the best value for money you can get in FS9. It gives you so much it's hard to describe. Several detailed GA airfields as well as PDX, a fantastic regional scenery area that allows for some significant GA flights as well as always arriving/departing KPDX over extremely realistic terrain. It was lightyears ahead of its time when released and is still comparable with the best sceneries - and NONE of them match how much you get in one package. Trust me - you will LOVE it!

Great, your reply just made Mastercard very happy

LOL - my new computer purchase made them happy too. Between the two of us, we may just be able to turn the economy around!!!

Hey, Ian, what have you bought?

Kiwi is right. This is probably as good as FS9 can get. There are many beautiful flights in Oregon. I consider the state my second home. I visit often and love it.

Hi Rafal

I got a little carried away but it should keep me happy for the next few years....

it's still no good for FSX :LMAO: but FS9 on your new rig will be smooooooth! FSX will run great around 2019 with i10 cpu's, lol. Actually test it out and see. I have fsx but I fly 90% of the time with fs9.

A nice PC, Ian, you will have a lot of FS9 delight with it. :good:

Now you can definitely update your 'My PC's Specifications'.

A free divorce

Hold on with such jokes. If your wife gets to this forum somehow, it may cost you more than you think! Big%20Grin.gif

To FlashIsisMayia:

Like others mentioned above, this scenery is a classic.

It is a big pity the developers did not stay in business.

They could develop the best addons around. Life...

FlashIsisMayia: could I also recommend you look at FlightZone 1, GreenState near Boston, on the other side of USA. A smaller, airport only, project but still marvellous.

I know our FSX buddies won't believe this, but I gave no thought to FSX in buying this. I want it for FS9 primarily and maybe, just maybe, a flight combat sim... That used to be a big part of my sim experience but I drifted away. I'm thinking of getting back to it. But mostly it's FS9 for the forseeable future... Can't wait to be able to say "smoooooooth" like you can!

:yahoo:

Back to original topic. You will love the KPDX scenery. The earlier Providence scenery is not quite so good IMO. It's still excellent but the PDX scenery was the developers ultimate work. As Rafal said, it's such a pity he quit the hobby/business and just kind of vanished

Hi! I installed Flightzone LC and Flightzone SC for KPDX but what I find strange is it runs smoothly during the daytime. It runs extremely bad performance at night. Like choppy. Every 3 seconds, it stopped and stalled. Annoyed!! Am I missing something? Please help. Thanks.

They also make a great scenery for KPVD.
