I think it must have been Flight.

Because one minimally funded and generally poorly received game will bring down a vast multibillion-dollar world-dominating corporation.

It's an accounting loss to make sure they get a tax break when they need it.

Time for you to go, Steve and don't forget Flight in the way out.

Cheers,

While goodwill may be an accounting fiction, it still reflects MS tendency to way overpay for companies and then destroy them. It does make you wonder how much they could have lost on ACES compared to this fiasco.

.

When Microsoft launched Windows the majority of computer sales was the desktop PC. When they launched Windows 95 they made a deal with the PC Manufacturers for a seat of Windows with every new PC.

Today the Desktop PC is less then 10% of computer sales, More people just use Android or Iphone on a small device instead, Microsoft has jumped onto Tablet Manufacturing turning there back on the deal they made with Manufacturers back in 1995, and taking Windows 8 in a new direction to compete with Android and IPhone. The computing environment has changed to smaller and the majority activity is social networking. Very different then it was 10 to 15 years ago.

Microsoft has to change to succeed. If they don't they will be like when the Titanic was unable to steer away from the iceburg....Too little too late.

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

HAHAHA

Hi!

That's an excellent post Ytzpilot and in my opinion sums things up very well. I would love to go back in time to when the internet was new and only really used by computer geeks. It seemed a lot more fun back then! And Microsoft seemed a lot more focused and appealing with their products and hotmail and stuff.

Many thanks.

Pierre
