July 22, 201213 yr When Microsoft launched Windows the majority of computer sales was the desktop PC. When they launched Windows 95 they made a deal with the PC Manufacturers for a seat of Windows with every new PC. Today the Desktop PC is less then 10% of computer sales, More people just use Android or Iphone on a small device instead, Microsoft has jumped onto Tablet Manufacturing turning there back on the deal they made with Manufacturers back in 1995, and taking Windows 8 in a new direction to compete with Android and IPhone. The computing environment has changed to smaller and the majority activity is social networking. Very different then it was 10 to 15 years ago. Microsoft has to change to succeed. I would love to go back in time to when the internet was new and only really used by computer geeks. It seemed a lot more fun back then!
