I'm buying it, simply because it's the first plane worth buying since Flight launched. It's not exactly the plane I wanted, but at least it's a step in the right direction (finally).

Im going to buy it because A: Its a cool aircraft and B: it supports our statement that aircraft with cockpits will sell better.

I'll buy it as soon as it's available even if it does nothing more than add a cockpit to the existing Cub and costs $15, just because I think it's a cool plane.

+1 to all these statements, but I don't see it costing $15 when all we expect to see is the addition of a fairly simple VC. Now if it comes with more liveries, floats and perhaps a "ski" version, then I could possibly see the $15. Right now I'll stick with the $4.99 price tag for the VC only addition.

The main thing here is a "new" plane with a cockpit. It's what many have either asked for or "insisted upon", and I'm going to support it because I want the dev team to know that a plane without a cockpit is not a plane. IMO, of course. ^_^

The Maule and the Cub handle like a dog !

Then again, after flying 737's for almost 30 years......nearly everything feels like a dog.

:LMAO:

Lets see a 737 land on a sand bar, or do a short field takeoff.

I don't see it costing $15

I don't either. That was intended to be a somewhat outrageous price. While the Maule cost that much, it included a lot of extra capability, like flying jobs. I think $15 would test the resolve of those who demand cockpits though. If the Cub comes with nothing but a cockpit, then $10 is probably about the most I'd expect to spend. But I'll still spring for $15 if that's what the ticket costs.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

There is a Payload.DropObjects default bound to the K key in the config file. Somebody did say that there are jobs in real Alaska that involve dropping good at a location. Maybe they will add a new class of job.

Who knows, maybe they wanted to release the cockpit with Alaska but did not have the jobs ready yet. One can hope. :Praying:

I am like Kevin, whatever it is I will buy it to show support for a VC airplane.

Perhaps the next area will be some part of Australia. It has a great deal of different terrain to fly over.

Hey, I just like the cub, and a cub with a cockpit is a no-brainer purchase for me. Its like burgers and fries! :P

I am certainly glad they are releasing a VC Cub, I have not even flown one time in the one that came with Alaska.

I know your joking but the Flight has the best flight dynamics I've seen in a sim. As a real pilot I find the sim very rewarding in how the virtual planes feel especially on takeoff and landing...

I just hope that the early "Test" got the bugs out and we have no repeat of former keystone cops routines with this release.

As far as new places I would like to see. I would like the area I live in (South Texas) but know that will probably not happen any time soon. For an alternate choice, I would like Scandinavia. More specifically the country of Norway. They have a number of airports that have rather large obstructions near the airports. You can’t make a straight in approach due to the rather monstrous piles of earth protruding from the water. :Big Grin:
