As we near the release of the PMDG 777X base pack I thought it would be useful to create a single forum topic where all the 777 features and info (such as EFB, taxi

camera, ECL) that have been debated (and resolved by the development team) are put together to form a more or less concrete picture/idea of what we are going to get

upon release. This should also help newcomers find out what to expect and prevent creating topics on subjects that have been discussed months ago.

I'll start with what I know:

*777-200LR basepack

*ECL included

*EFB will be added as a service pack later on

*Full VC cockpit and modelling and other PMDG features

*Accurate sound simulated

*Full simulation of 777 performance and

*All boeing options will be modelled (like the NGX)

*Options accessilbe through the FMC (like the NGX)

*Real-time refuelling availble like the MD11 (please correct if wrong)

*777-300ER willl be the first addon

*The next addon will the 200ER/F

*Then we will have the 200/300 models (depending on market interest)

If a topic like mine already exists, please delete

Don't think anything has been confirmed about the type of refueling option . I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of the NGX style refueling, but they might have the MD-11 version or maybe both.

maybe..... I remember once reading a post about the refuelling. Many asked for the MD11 and the NGX systems to be on the 777. This was so that people can simulate pre departure with GSX or AES whilst talking to VATSIM/IVAO ATC and the quick NGX method for quick flights

Uhhhm, we are going to get a fully functional Boeing 777.

That pretty much summs it up.

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.

Good idea for summing everything up but I don't think you should post things that are myth..

No no no no you are misunderstanding. I said "as we near release" Im fully aware that PMDG does not confirm dates but the Randazzo himself said to prepare for previews and we may have it by the end of 2012 If we are lucky. Features Im not too sure about were followed by brackets.

However, feel free to add other feature you know are coming

Hope it is by the end of the year...wish it would come for CTP Easbound 2012 :D

No one outside PMDG knows anything for certain about what will be included. People have posted stuff they claim to know in other threads which proved false.

So perhaps it would be better to leave the feature list to PMDG and stop getting too overexcited about a release which may still be months away.

Well, Kevin, 1st of all, nice to see a fellow BAv member around. I am BAW375.

2nd) Just watching Rob video at Munich and he said, and this was 5+ months ago that the aircraft is fully functional...never know mate, god made the earth in 7 seven days :) (please don't take that too religiously, just trying to give my perspective) :)

I'd like it to come out ASAP too, but it needs to be fully tested and as bug free as possible. So we may have to wait a while longer. Remember how long the NGX release took after beta test was announced. Same thing happened with the post release updates. These are very complex products and need a lot of testing to get right in all circumstances.

The more people dwell on what the 777 will be like the longer the wait will seem.

Agreed, but the NGX beta took about what, a year? 5 months ago they said it was in beta and fully functional...Just my opinion :)

How do we know? yes, it was said it COULD be at the end of this year, but how do we know they havnt hit a hitch that could set them back 6 more months, and they havnt told us because they have been so busy

I think he is not implying that we ARE "near" release but we are getting closer to the release date, i.e. as every day passes we are getting NEARER to the release date.
