PFPX and PMDG 777 Winds
Froogle sim had a trick for exporting winds to the 777, can't remember if it was PFPX. Just go to his channel and look at his 777 part 1 video.

Is It a Must To Have PMDG737 Before Buying 777 ?
It's a completely separate product, so no you don't have to purches the NGX first.

You have 52K of thrust? I have 220,000 pounds...
Perfect!!!, thanks for the quick response .

You have 52K of thrust? I have 220,000 pounds...
Hey Luke ,nice pictures and hope the flight is going well. Just one question, have PMDG accurately modeled the sound sound of the flaps retracting from the wing view , I really enjoy listening to the whining of the hydraulics in the real bird and hoping its replicated well in the product. Thanks

Yes , they are releasing the -300ER shortly after the -200LR, cant wait as its my favorite bird.

American Airlines 777-300ER
I hope they change the AA livery , I really think its time for an update, since they seem to be updating the entire fleet , I would imagine they will put a fresh new paint scheme on all of the new birds.

American Airlines 777-300ER
Just saw this on YouTube , nice to see AA get the -300ER. I was on there -200 going to Chicago and I though the interior was very dated when compared to the eastern carriers , so I hope this raises the bar on standards.,and does a better job at competing with carriers like Emirates

777 Recap
Don't think anything has been confirmed about the type of refueling option . I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of the NGX style refueling, but they might have the MD-11 version or maybe both.

I love the NGX
Nicely done.

Landing -- When do you turn off A/T?
Don't think I ever did an auto land, because like the post above said, she's great to hand fly especially coming in to land . I usually disconnect the auto throttle and auto pilot between 1500 and 2000 AGL and bring her in myself.

Why would you buy FS 11?
One of the Main things for me would be to have a solid 60 FPS or at least 30. A another thing I would love to see is for a silulator to come out that has graphics that we see on the playstation or Xbox , when playing games like Gran turismo 5 , I always say to myself I would love to see these life like graphics in the flight sim world . I would like to see better weather being implemented , since it's all about being in the air , better weather immersion would be great, REX essential made much needed improvements in my opinion , but thers a lot more that needs to be done.

Recommend Ram For FSX please.
neon123678 replied to megs8888's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI use Corsair 8GB , corsair seem to be the most repuatable RAM manufacture , and Kingston are up there as well. Like the above post make sure the speed is 1600 because there a lot of RAM floating around with only 1333.

How big of a screen are you guys simming with?
neon123678 replied to AviatorBimmer's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI use a Philips 24inch monitor , 1920 by 1080p . Im just wondering, do all you guys we these massive 50 ince screens sit in front of them , just like you would with a 24inch ?. I have a 40inch but I never bothered flightsim on it, a bit to big and it's sitting on a TV stand.

What part of the 777 are you most excited to see/use?
Can't wait to give those GE90s a good test run , also looking forward to the more spacious cockpit and familiarizing myself with the cockpit layout . The walk around should be a bit of fun as well , seeing that behometh in front of me.

Quality Wings 757
Never had any dramatic problems with the frame rates and I found it to run smoother than the NGX . I would recommend it over the CS 757, they are both good add on aircraft but the QW wins when it comes to sounds and graphics . The flight dynamics are excellent and makes it a beautiful aircraft to handfly. The downloadable add on liverys look very good and are very well produced.

FSX software biggest pile of rubbish
And I suppose a few more service packs to keep things running smoothly along the way would be far to much to ask for, would it? Instead of making Flight, why didn't they just make a new service pack that looked at all the main flaws of fsx ,fix them and then charge. I know paying for an update is ridiculous, but it would make thousands of people very happy. This would have been much cheaper for Microsoft , and would have made them a fair bit of money.

FSX software biggest pile of rubbish
Its called Flight simulator x, meaning they were on there 10th version. You sound like its there first simulator they brought out and there were bound to make a few mistakes . No at that stage of the software's life they knew that other developers would be making new add ons. PMDG made there 737 for FS2004 , in 2004 , so Microsoft should have known what kind of work the developers would be using fsx for . Im not asking for fsx to be completely perfect, but we all know its very far from perfect.

FSX software biggest pile of rubbish
Flight simulation is one of my favorite hobby's and I enjoy doing it and sharing my experience with people on this forum,I have been doing it six years , not as much as the older members of the community but I still think I can give an honest opinion. I am sick to death of my hobby being dependent on a software that has a infinity number of faults. Most noticeably the random crashing issue,a few weeks ago I gave FSX a break because I was sick of wasting hours of my life on a piece of crap program, that wastes hours on my life , the only reason I overcome my hatred day after day towards this program is to use the NGX and the other brilliant add ons available . I came back tonight after my long break from fsx .I did a flight in my favorite add on aircraft the NGX from EGSS to EIDW .While descending I was admiring the weather and the detail of the of the NGX,and told my self this is worth the constant BS I have to endure. Then all of a sudden ,what a huge surprise it crashes , and I ask my self ,why the hell do I bother? I was going to shut the pc down there and then before I screamed , but I decided to try load the fsuipc auto save , but like usual it loads me up a dead aircraft that goes hurling into the ocean. Please excuse my ranting , I know im not the only one with problems. My anger doesn't lie with any developers , they do an exceptional job . My beef lies with Microsoft , they basically took our money and ran , gave us two MINOR service packs , which only one actually benefited us performance wise. I find it absolutely ridiculous that people in the community are forced to spend thousands of there hard earned money on gaming rigs to run this software , and still the majority of us can only dream of coming into an airport like Heathrow with full graphics and get reasonable frame rates. These are the same rigs that wont break a sweat running games like Battle field 3 . Whats Microsoft's response to this , Microsoft Flight ,give me break, I think Flight will get second place for the biggest disappointing software , we know what gets gold, they knew this as well , that's why they dropped the piece of garbage and not soon enough in my opinion. I think its time to start abandoning the sinking ship ,which had massive holes in it to begin with . The sooner PMDG start bringing there products to X-Plane the better and I hope other developers are not that far behind . I haven't purchased X-plane my self , but judging from videos and reviews Laminar research have a good thing going , they deserve our money , more than that faceless corporation of idiots, that don't give a toss about there customers. Before I start getting replies like"have you tried these CFG tweaks?, etc" yes I have a friend who helped me do some tweaks . That's not the point , the majority of us are not computer technicians , we want to come home and enjoy our hobby and not be digging around forums looking for ways to improve dreadful frame rates and crashes. I want to thank the developers for improving are hobby , and for the hard work they do , I just look forward to the day when Microsoft doesn't have a presence in our community unless they get there act together , which is highly unlikely. Thank you for reading

GEX & UTX performance
Had both as well , the main problem for me was the UTX program , that really affected my frame rates, so I just stuck to GEX which doesn't affect the FPS dramatically .

Light-brown 777 cockpit is hi-fi but IMO it seems to pertain to late '70 era
I think thInk the darker brown colors are used to keep the crew awake during those long haul hops. Another reason is that darker colors such as brown are much better at disapating internal heat of the cocpit than colors like grey, which come from the flight deck equipment, which can get very warm at times. My guesse for the 787 is they went back to grey because they found better ways to alleviate the internal heat of the cocpit. I think brown is also picked because it causes less glare on the windows .
