Crazy Approach to PARO

Featured Replies

Edit:

Although, based on that landing, maybe it is time to give up the day job...

That was the part acting as the encouraging element for me. ^_^ Nice trick! It was a trick, right? :o

This airport requires Fly Tampa or ORBX treatment.

Dang! I feel like reinstalling 3DMax and rebooting my old skills back ...just so I can build some nice 3D object for this and start enhancing this airport! But I'd prefer one of these pro's doing this Airport along with VNKT (Katmandu) airport.

Thai Creations can enhance this somemore ...add some more custom buildings and other primary "houses" that are mentioned on this approach. And also re do their runway textures (like they have for FS9). And also work on porting their FS9 VNKT (which seems very good) for FSX

PS: I know, I am preaching to the choir here. Sigh!

Would be nice to have some extra detail. I guess the frequent flying operation depends on finding some nearby destinations for the medium sized jets. The terrain certainly makes it interesting to fly in and out.

There is no shortages of images for this airport and its viscinity either. And there are some gorgeous buildings around that need to be captured

Mmm only one small picture where they come in with the BAe. I would like to see more of those, mainly because FSX now features some interesting offers on that unique plane. 5 APUs. ^_^

LOL...just for you, CoolIP, try this one...I have been there in real life, as a pax in 727s...the runway goes uphill at either end, it has a "hump" in the middle...surrounded by mountains.

Good tip that is and I envy you for the rw experience. I actually own that one, but, nevertheless, it's still a challenge and shouldn't be missed. I've found the takeoff to be.. disturbing.

Another great video in HD for the approach. This time to rw33.

Kathmandu (VNKT). Nice, short flight with gorgeous Himalayas scenery along the way.

Thanks for that tip again. I've tried that route and this will be one of my favourites. Nice and short, not too short to get some altitude and there also is some freeware in the Avsim library.
