Jetstream 41 engine fire

Featured Replies

Just installed the JS41, and simply applied takeoff thrust to fly around with it but after a few seconds I got this:

That happened to me untill i read the manual. I hate having to do that!

You probably needed to remove start locks (go into beta range on power levers) or were still on Conditions Levers Taxi.

Did that a few times before i figured it out.

My first couple flights with Her graced me with two blown engines after a 3 foot flight.....gotta love PMDG.....They should change their company name from PMDG to RTFM. LOL...I always always always blow past the manuals on my new addons....at least for the first couple flights until I get tired of not being able to taxi, let alone get off the ground.

Love the JS 41... Startup itself is a fun experience, let alone flying it. So easily to blow it up by forgetting to flip a simple toggle switch back and forth before cranking over an engine.

Yup, fried many a J41 engine in my sim too....not hard to do. FS2Crew is awesome with it too as well as highly suggested.

I agree, FS2Crew is great with this bird. I got the combo pack that PMDG offered and never looked back. I wonder how many millions of dollars I have smoked on the ramp by forgetting something that must be tattooed to pilots who fly this think.....would be a fun fact if we kept up with how much damage we have caused compared to a monetary value.

Lol dont know how many engines i replaced due to engine fire
