September 12, 201213 yr Apples' legal team is also eyeing up mother nature for blatantly hanging their logo from trees. Not true...because the first Apple Computer was created in 1976....and the first Apple Produce was invented by cross breading a Strawberry with a Potato back in 1983. The Apple Computer came first and the Apple Fruit came second. Apple Computers lost the claim to the naming of the fruit as they failed to trademark in the fruit category. September 12, 201213 yr Today's Times reports that Apple is taking action against a Polish online grocery store for using the name A.pl. Let's hope the courts tell Apple where it can put its apple, Thanks for that. I think I shall do all my grocery shopping from these people this weekend. I live in Poland and didn't even know about them. Just outside Warsaw is a town called Grójec which is known as an apple growing town/area. I'm surprised the iScum haven't taken out a suit against them yet for selling a fruit called 'jabłko' which, shock, horror, translates into English as 'apple'. September 12, 201213 yr Lawyers at least, take this very seriously and always have. Between 1978 and 2006 there were a number of legal disputes between Apple Corps (owned by The Beatles) and the computer manufacturer Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) over competing trademark rights. The High Court of Justice handed down a judgment on 8 May 2006 in favour of Apple Computer, but the companies did not announce a final settlement until 5 February 2007. Silly, silly stuff, but deadly serious to businesses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Corps_v._Apple_Computer We are all connected..... To each other, biologically......
