Airport addons for KATL, KSLC, KDEN, KSEA, EGLL, EDDF,EHAM

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get addons for the above listed airports in FSX. I have looked quite a bit and come up empty. It doesn't matter whether they are payware or free. Any help will be much appreciated.

Search under FSX or FS9 in the library by the ICAO and you will find a bunch of AFCADS to upgrade the default airports. Aerosoft also makes great (but demanding on resources) versions of EHAM, EGLL and EDDF.

Rob,

thanks for your reply, I already have checked the libary under FSX scenery/ airports and found nothing for ATL, SLC, DEN, SEA. I have downloaded MSY, SAN, HOU, and OAK by Glenn Johnson although I haven't been able to get them installed into FSX, but that is another problem. Can you offer suggestions of how to do this, I followed his instructions but got a pop-up saying that the MSY file was not in the 126.0 file.

I am a total doofus at computerese and have to be led step by step to get anything done. Any help you could provide will be much appreciated.

Imaginesim has Atlanta (in fact it just released a new version of Atlanta) and Denver. UK2000 will have the British airports. There is no payware version of Salt Lake City, but there is a freeware file called Utah complete which includes KSLC. For Seattle, we are SOL, but Seattle is one of Flight Simulator's native higher quality airports. X=Plane has a nice Seattle, but I am not ambitious enough to move the buildings over from the X=Plane version to FSX.

Aerosoft is a great site for payware and they are having a sale this weekend. In FSX scenery you can do a search at the top of the page which will save time.

Good luck.

There was one for KSEA which added the 3rd runway. I did use it before I got ORBX. Surprised it's not there as it was very popular.

- KATL

I have the old (not the one released yesterday) version of ImagineSim, and it's good.

- KSLC

Nothing exists

- KDEN

Now that is on a cheaper price, I will get it from ImagineSim.

- KSEA

Nothing exists

- EGLL

Aerosoft's (SimWings) is not good (rare, from both of them).

I don't have UK2000's, but judging from their EGKK, EGCC and EGAA that I have, it should be excellent. Although you might want to wait a little, since they'll have a new version out before year's end.

- EDDF

Aerosoft, but wait a little, since they'll have a new version out before year's end.

- EHAM

Aerosoft's is good, although heavy on framerates (again something rare from them).

Here is the filename for KSEA in the file library.

KSEA_ASBUILT_V1.ZIP

Our friend here asked about sceneries, not mere AFCADs.

I have all Ray Smith AFCADs, and (almost) all Matthew Brooks & Alpha India Group ones, and I know they are both excellent.

But they are just AFCADs, not sceneries.

The one I gave him, is a scenery. Although there are no buildings etc, it does add the 3rd runway. I don't think he will find much else for KSEA unless he invests in ORBX.
