December 28, 201213 yr Turning off Aero is not the best idea of them all - the vsync tweak with the dwm.exe restart doesn't work if the Aero is off, I think. But FSX does not support Aero, and when it is launched, Aero is disabled. Would having Aero enabled before make a difference with this?
January 5, 201313 yr Really struggling with FSX on a fresh Win8 build, and I have a pair of new SSD's in the mix as well which I paid a pretty penny for, and so far it's not paying off. Performance issues, crashing, add-ons that are having problems. Two weeks of testing, trying different things, and I'm about to throw in the towel. So much so that I'm close to throwing in the towel entirely on simming. Very frustrated with the loss of time and money. - Aaron
January 28, 201313 yr Hi Guys, I know this topic is a few months old now but I thought I'd share this as it may help others. I have installed Windows 8 on BootCamp as a mirror on my iMac and now run both windows and Mac on the same machine. I have installed FSX and it runs seamlessly absolutely brilliant.
