October 22, 201213 yr I am a member of both BAV and Virtual Air Canada, they are both run extremely well and offer excellent internal VACARS with their own excellent features and they each operate the 777. \Robert Hamlich/
October 23, 201213 yr I just applied for BAV - shame there's no good Emirates since I'll be flying the 777 50% of the time with them! When you get in (might take a bit btw) let's do some NGX group flights to earn you your Captain rank while we wait for the triple. Elijah HoytCFI, CFII, CMEL, CSEL, CSES, IFR
October 23, 201213 yr When you get in (might take a bit btw) let's do some NGX group flights to earn you your Captain rank while we wait for the triple. Yeah there's 24 applications ahead of me. Do they allow you to transfer Vatsim hours? I've got 433 Hours under the BAW/SHT Callsign already. Mostly on the 763, I've only just started flying the NGX with the BAW livery (only bought the NGX in July!). Sure thing - I'll let you know whenever I'm in! - Luke Pabari
October 23, 201213 yr They will transfer hours, but they do not count towards ratings, which means that to sit up in the T7 (or WAY up in the 744 and 748), you have to accrue 100 hours flying specifically under the BAV flag. Elijah HoytCFI, CFII, CMEL, CSEL, CSES, IFR

No problem, the earliest we could see the 777 is probably December so got plenty of time :-) - Luke Pabari
October 23, 201213 yr I should make a correction, they will transfer virtual airline hours, not purely VATSIM. Elijah HoytCFI, CFII, CMEL, CSEL, CSES, IFR
October 25, 201213 yr Hope to see you flying for BAV soon Luke - I've been a member for a little over a month now and it's a great place. Really friendly people, very good system in place and just an all round nice atmosphere. It took me between 1 and 2 weeks to go from applying to becoming a member I believe, so you may have a little bit of waiting yet :(
October 26, 201213 yr Although i didn't fly very long for BA Virtual, i can truly recommend it, probably the best VA i've been in to date. I hope to be able to resume my virtual career there sometime in the future again, when i get more time to enjoy flightsim Kind regards Jan H Dahl
October 26, 201213 yr I would reccomend Phoenix Virtual Airways (phoenixva.org). They simulate over 700 real world airlines with all the flights reflecting real world ones. Their ACARS sytem is the best that I have used so far, and they have a very large group of active members. They also have periodic missions/events. Definately reccomend checking it out!
October 28, 201213 yr I have heard good things about canadian express virtual. Not a member thought http://www.canadianxpress.ca/. Joseph Vannelli

Really friendly people, very good system in place and just an all round nice atmosphere. There were some issues proving my DOB and my Name due to a past application which I can't remember about. All sorted now, had to resubmit so should be in within the next couple of weeks :-) - Luke Pabari
October 28, 201213 yr There were some issues proving my DOB and my Name due to a past application which I can't remember about. All sorted now, had to resubmit so should be in within the next couple of weeks :-) Nice, best of luck! I trust you will be starting on the NGX out of LGW/EGKK? If so I may bump into you online (hopefully figuratively and not literally )
October 28, 201213 yr Nice, best of luck! I trust you will be starting on the NGX out of LGW/EGKK? If so I may bump into you online (hopefully figuratively and not literally ) Yeah that's likely! I'm just going to fly until I'm able to fly the 777. However if I don't make it in time for release then I won't fly for BAV any more ha. - Luke Pabari
October 28, 201213 yr I discourage you from shedding BAV just because you won't be able to fly the 777 at the time of release (if that is the case). I don't personally see the point of joining a VA in which you can already fly everything, it just seems listless for me. Even though I have over 200 hours with BAV, I am still working towards getting to fly the Concorde at the 500 hour mark, and the possibility for progression keeps it engaging. If you work at it you can make captain in a month or so (I did), and if you don't make it by release, you can still fly it on your own. This will just make earning your fourth stripe even more rewarding! Elijah HoytCFI, CFII, CMEL, CSEL, CSES, IFR
October 29, 201213 yr Author i got problems with BA airways, trying to solve that, but anyone knows on a virtual that take things serious like BA VA except them? thanks! Daniel choen
