Good, I just hope it will be better optimized than GTA IV is, for some reason it doesn't like my system at all and by default also puts all graphics options to minimum although it's possible to go around that, but still performance was horrible.

They'll release it aprox six months after the consoles, as we've seen before. Hopefully with an 80s radio station.

From the comment section of my original post's link:

Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time. Anyone that continues to spam the comments section will have their commenting privileges suspended.

As my reply implied, based on their earlier sales strategy also with other franchises , it'll come out after ½ a year.

I know that they did that with GTA IV, but they never said anything about a PC version even coming out. They just said they have no plans for it now, and are concentrating on consoles. I mean, I still have my PS3 but I want it for PC.

Again, that's precisely what happened with the fourth in the series. Nothing is different this time around, yet.

I found that link funny. For the life of me, I had no idea there was a "war" for lack of better words between PC and Console gamers? Lol. I didn't read any real disrespect but it kinda had in some of the comments a US vs Them thing. Lol.

Consoles have diluted the PC market. The PC used to be a special platform with more "intelligent", or in depth games. Now we're lucky if we get a port of a console game.

Very true, Zach. And some ported stuff not only bugs you with poor graphics but also a strange controller setup.

Still playing GTA IV for the fun of it though. A pretty decent fun game and it still amazes me with the silly things one can do there. I love the whole concept and artwork. But what a pain it was as it came out. :Rolling Eyes:

Ahh, got ya. I didn't even know they ported from console to PC, or the other way around.

I gave up trying to keep up with consoles after the PS2, as I got tired of having to do full switch overs. I like the idea of just upgrading what I want, instead of a whole box with no options.

Kind of disappointed there hasn't been any confirmation on a PC version yet. Guess I will just have to buy a PS3 and get it for that... :sad2:

I guess the next gen consoles will be cool. But the current stuff just is too old in my eyes. And they are blocking some PC titles from getting better due to their old-ish tech. But some devs did good and offered enhanced engines for the PC version. Take Crysis2 for example. DX11 patch and hires textures and the thing looks amazing.

Not the deepest gameplay though. ^_^

And also, some people say the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox 3602/Xbox 720 will come out next year, so why make the game for them? Meanwhile, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and (unfortunately) Windows 8 will be permanent gaming platforms.
