64bit version = better performance (proof shot...)

At least for me it raised from around 4-6fps in a crowded Moscow OSM scenery to between 16 and 20!!!

Not bad :-)

I can only assume you had a video memory issue.

I did notice an improvement too, before the 64bit update I been flying MMMX (Mexico City) and was getting between 14-18 fps, now I'm getting between 22-28. This is with objects, roads and trees one notch down from max. Clouds are set at 35.

I will have to do some more testing to confirm.

Not bad! I told you JC it was worth hanging on to ;)

Yep Simon, was given to me by that friend who turned me into an X-plane fan, after a couple of years ago I had turning him into an X-Plane fan first :-)... He his married to a Russian woman, so, he has lot's of detailled information on Moscow... :-)

Back to the 64bit talk, YES I AM DEFINITELY FINDING BETTER PERFORMANCE :-))))) Higher fps, at least, allover I test it with crowded OSM areas.

me too jcomm, my fps also increased :O over crowded osm cities, but i do have a powerful PC.

It sounds great that you are getting better performance, but I wonder what specs you guys have? How much ram/vram? I wonder if my measly 6gb ram/800mb vram will help. Maybe it's time for an upgrade...

If you use HDR, the performance difference might - but I don't know for sure - come from the replaced AA code. Ben has swapped out the old AA shader code, and put in a newer version, which also supports more/different AA levels in HDR (check out you preferences).

I find that I get my FRs dropped some but I had plenty anyway, so no big deal. The big deal is that my TrackIR 5 is on for about 10 seconds (or less) and then stops working. Any ideas? Yes, I know it is beta......

i7 2600k 3.4ghz(No Overclock), 8gb ram, Nvidia 680 2gb, etc. Just click under our profile name where it says "MY PC".

Depends. If you use OSM and Photosceneries and/or big Sceneries 6 GB will be very small. In Fact I just added another 12 GB after I noticed that my computer ran out of RAM around EHAM together with OSM and the Boeing 777.
