November 18, 201213 yr Please can anyone help........... After installing the new ORBX England scenery I get a warning while opening FTX Central that I have "Duplicate Landclass Index 100" Don't know, but have a look at your terrain.cfg file (in the main flight simulator x folder). The default one should show: OCEAN_SEA_LARGE_LAKE=100 and nothing else should be assigned "100". I know ORBX FTX NA adds some new landclasses to unused index values, but not 100. scott s. .
November 18, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys for trying to help me, alas I have been unable to find a solution and have checked your ideas out. I have asked this question on the ORBX forum and was asked to post my terrain.cfg which I did. Now I find I am banned from their forum! I guess its just a technical glitch but it is very frustrating. I have paid a lot of money today for this product and it appears I am banned for asking the same question as I have on this forum Charles
November 18, 201213 yr Wow! Posting the terrain.cfg. That file is massive! I'm surprised they asked you to post it. Even if you did they could have easily deleted it and continued on with assisting you. It appears they are the only ones who can help you. Do you have UTX installed? Any other scenery addons? Did you try Scott's suggestion? You can easily find out if something else was assigned 100 by opening up your Terrain.cfg then look up in the menu and click on edit, then find, then type in 100 and click okay. It will find all the 100's in the config. I just have the one default item assigned 100. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! November 18, 201213 yr Charles, ORBX treating you like this and banning you is inexcusable. Shame on them! I will take this thread down to the AVSIM Unofficial ORBX Forum to see if anyone can help you down there. Kind regards, This is an automatic message. This topic has been moved from "MS FSX Forum" to "The Unofficial ORBX Forum". This move has been done for a number of possible reasons. The most likely reason is that the post was off topic. The topic could also have contained images or a video that were not appropriate to the original forum it was posted in. The images might not have been "illustrative" or "explanatory" in nature. The topic could have been moved because we deemed it to be more appropriately placed elsewhere. Please ensure that your posts are "on topic" and contain illustrative images or videos as appropriate. Do not post videos or images just for entertainment purposes anywhere but in the screen shot or video forums. Members who continue to post off topic posts can be denied entry to specific forums in order to reduce and remove the practice. Your cooperation is appreciated.
November 18, 201213 yr ORBX treating you like this and banning you is inexcusable Unbelievable indeed! alas I have been unable to find a solution and have checked your ideas out. Charles, Did you install EU England, with FTX central set at default?(I am assuming you have other Orbx regions?) Maybe try uninstalling EU England and reinstalling, and see if that error resolves. I hope this might help you. Regards. DIMITRI
November 18, 201213 yr Must be more into you being banned that your not letting on, since they dont ban people for just posting their cfg in there for help I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
November 18, 201213 yr charles you are not banned ... i looked at orbx and it shows you as a newbie with no post . not banned . so before everyone jump to conclusion since they are a bitter group here ( mod is banned at orbx , leader of the pack here ) make sure you follow account activation properly. there were a few here that had the same problem . i thought you all would know better before getting out the torch and pitchfork again . sigh
November 18, 201213 yr Commercial Member ORBX treating you like this and banning you is inexcusable. Shame on them! As most people would deduce from a normal thought process, you don't get banned for posting a support query on the ORBX forums. That is what the support forums are actually for. Without exception, those who have posted that they are unable to access the forums in such a setting simply have something like a stale browser cache, or other IP connectivity problems. Often, they have simply logged off and forgotten to log back in! So, in the interests of keeping the discussion rational, useful and on-topic, perhaps Charles 575943 can let us know his ORBX username, and Jay may be able to check into what his account is doing. November 18, 201213 yr As most people would deduce from a normal thought process I sense a very insulting tone to this comment. Can you please explain yourself? so before everyone jump to conclusion since they are a bitter group here ( mod is banned at orbx , leader of the pack here ) make sure you follow account activation properly. I'm very sorry to hear you think we're a bitter group. What did we do again, because I'm always nice as pie even to the harshest people... Sincerely, Chase My 2017 Build: Liquid Cooled i7 7700K CPU idle @ 4.2GHz | MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G | 16GB's DDR4 4000 RAM | ASUS 27" 144hz Gaming Monitor | MSI Z270 M7 Motherboard | Windows 10 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
November 18, 201213 yr Commercial Member Chase. I am not sure what you are implying. And I am sorry if I am offending any of your sensitivities. Let me explain my thoughts: It defies belief that we would go to the trouble of running, maintaining and replying to a comprehensive support forum -- then simply ban people for posting support queries there. That is the "normal thought process" I was referring to. Having an Avsim moderator posting "Shame on Them" in response to misinformation seems to be an ill-considered contribution to the discussion. It adds little, is derogatory, and frankly unhelpful Given your your experience moderating these forums, I would have expected better than that from the mod team here.
November 18, 201213 yr Before you come here and tell little fibs, here is how it REALLY went down: You came to the Orbx forums to get some help, in the process you IGNORED the PM you got from my system with the proper registration procedure, you did NOT go to the validation thread the PM instructed you to go to, hence my system made your account inactive until I could verify you manually. No banning, no ulterior motives, no evil Orbx. To be frank, I am appalled and disgusted with the deplorable stance of a few people in this thread. Any opportunity to attack Orbx hey? Maybe I should leave the sim business and start selling oil to you lot. Oh hang on, I cannot leave the sim business because I am a volunteer for EVERYTHING I do in the sim world, forgot about that Oh and Chase.. here is your example of bitterness Charles, ORBX treating you like this and banning you is inexcusable. Shame on them! I will take this thread down to the AVSIM Unofficial ORBX Forum to see if anyone can help you down there. The above coming from an admin? Did you REALLy still have to ask where the bitterness comment came from ? HA!
