I think the problem was airport itself. Yesterday FMC was calling 100.4% N1 and TOPCAT calculated 89.9% with +25C outside temp. There was no logic. I switched to several different airports to compare and everything looked normal. Go figure.

Hi Edward,

Yeah I did some testing last night with the information you provided me and my results were pretty similar to yours. The N1 in the FMC and TOPCAT were out by about 5-10%. However the V-Speeds calculated in both were still pretty close regardless.

I don't see how the airport could really cause this behavior but it does seem to be contributing. There must be something in the config files that's off...

Have you seen this happen at any other airports?

You can create your own TXT file using Notepad as it said above in #4. To open TXT file just double click on it, it should open TXT file (notepad). I will be back home in several hours and will try to recreate those steps. It worked for me. Will let you know to make sure I am right.

Check these steps. In TOPCAT folder open Config folder, you will see many txt. files.  Select that one you want, right click on it and open. Then you can edit that file. Is that what you were looking for?

Has anyone created a version for use with the -700/-700 w/ winglets?

O.K., I downloaded the given NGX configuration files, dropped them in the TOPCAT/Configurations directory, and restarted TOPCAT.  Tried to add an aircraft, but am still restricted to the Aircraft types provided by the publisher.  If I want to create a 737-900 using the downloaded configuration files, do I first have to select the "closest" aircraft type, say a 737-800, and then use the 737-900 configuration file?  Will that make the aircraft, functionally, a 737-900?  Or is there some other step I'm missing?

Thanks for this, but are these profiles more accurate than the ones that originally comes with TOPCAT?
