November 29, 201213 yr Are there any new releases coming up before Christmas? It is kind of quiet here and I want to budget my money for the best ones coming out. November 29, 201213 yr Good luck figuring out an answer to your question. Most of the developers for our hobby have been burned/annoyed/frustrated in the past by announcing release dates and then missing those targets for a variety of reasons (no commentary intended). As an appropriate response, the developers simply release their products when they are completed. Arguably, the various developers start providing indicators that begin to present themselves when products are "closer" to release, whether by forum updates, facebook posts, etc. My advice: look over what you know is in development, decide which products you intend to purchase and set aside what you anticipate it will cost (IMO you can estimate pretty well based upon previous products). Then the money's already saved, so you can wait patiently until each product is released. Happy Holidays! ~Shaun O'Neil~
November 29, 201213 yr Check AirDailyX blog. It gives you a nice overview of what's coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Regards, Frank van der Werff
November 30, 201213 yr ORBX go two addons titled "soon", and both do look great. I believe they could release them by Christmas. Also I guess Aerosoft might have some things ready by that time, but that doesn't seem as likely as the ORBX releases. But generally speakin, I agree with shaun_ak. Only very few developers give dates unless they're absolutely sure they can keep their promises, at least since the "disaster" with the Airbus Extended. Regards, Flo Florian
November 30, 201213 yr Commercial Member Yeah I hope they would get it out within 3 months or so, been waiting for proper bus so long.
December 1, 201213 yr I've been away from FSX for a bit and come back to find the only two I'm interested - the A320s - still haven't been released. I didn't know ORBX England had happened. That's a nice surprise, although it appears to be getting mixed reviews. The Aerosoft Twin Otter should be out soon, no?
December 1, 201213 yr I dont know how far away their Twotter is, it sure looks to become a winner though. Their AN-2 is coming along, as is Sibwings competing AN-2. At least their (sibwings) facebook page says "coming soon" on their latest AN-2 screens. i9 9900k - 32 gb RAM @ 3200mhz - 2070 RTX 8gb
December 6, 201213 yr I dont know how far away their Twotter is, it sure looks to become a winner though. Their AN-2 is coming along, as is Sibwings competing AN-2. At least their (sibwings) facebook page says "coming soon" on their latest AN-2 screens. Aerosoft's forums say Early Next Year for the An-2 but I only just saw the Sibwings facebook page. Sibwings Bird Dog is one of my top 3 for FSX so I'll be waiting to see their An-2. Forget Christmas. Better to have a good tested release rather than something pushed out for an artificial deadline and then patched to cover the rushed release? I see the Twotter's a completely new model so NO discount for owners of the old one <_< but that was not that great IMHO anyway. Hope the engine control is better and the virtual cockpits needed a complete makeover and some decent wear and tear. Talking of Twotters and AN-2s I never understood why nobody did the original Radial Otter for FSX? I know they're rarer than Hen's teeth because their sturdy airframe made a retrofit turbine the fate of most survivors but that's too much like a taildragger Caravan to be interesting. Of course Old AND New would be great? Geoff Geoff Brown

I admire those of you who think like this. I also want a good tested release, but I still want it NOW. The radial Otter you speak of I wasnt aware of, but it looks interesting for sure. I'll have one if they make it. i9 9900k - 32 gb RAM @ 3200mhz - 2070 RTX 8gb
