July 28, 200421 yr Check out this wonderful new payware Piper Warrior II/III by Brad Disher from Australian Simulation. Truly a wonderful product.http://www.aussim.com.au/piper/Cheers,Michael
July 28, 200421 yr Cripes $30, hmmm, shame really, as I have been doing my PPL in a Warrior, and would have liked one for FS.Does the quality warrant $30?, I am mostly interested in the panels, and the FDCheersDan.
July 28, 200421 yr Commercial Member Where did you pluck the $30 from? It says $25 as far as I can see. Fermin Fernandez FSWidgets Developer Melbourne, Australia (UTC+10)
July 28, 200421 yr I "plucked" the $30 from the fact that if you are in the EU, you have to pay tax, so that bumps it up to $30.Still would be interested to hear if anyone has got it and there impressionsCheersDan.

July 28, 200421 yr Gentlemen, there was a problem after I purchased the aircraft this morning.I'm using a german WinXP and the Setup-Installer had error-messages during the installation. After a greatful contact with the producer Mr. Brad Disher from Australian Simulation, the problem is now located & fixed. The upload is running now and it will be taken some hours, due to the fact that Brad has only a 56K Modem-Connetion to the Internet.Anyway, I'm very impressed about the preview and I'm really sure, that this will be a shooter in FS Heaven.B.R.
July 28, 200421 yr Well its a aussie product and it looks good... I had better support another aussie and just go ahead and buy it...Next month though i have to slot it into my budget under Fun hehe
July 28, 200421 yr From the full sized thumbnails on the website, the VC looks better than existing payware in it's class. I want to see more though! I'd also like to hear about their flight model compared to existing products...Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
July 28, 200421 yr I think I might get it because I am also training in a Warrior... Does anyone know if there will be a painkit?
July 28, 200421 yr Well, I bought it. And I hate it. I'm a "2D-panel-only" guy and the graphics on these panels is not something to write home about. The lettering is a bit on the "fuzzy side" and, in many cases, difficult to read (1280x960x32 on a 19" Viewsonic PF970). I've uninstalled it and reinstated the Dreamfleet Archer. It'll be interesting to see if it's just my old, tired eyes or if others have a similar view. Some day I'll learn to wait a couple of days.....Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. July 28, 200421 yr "Some day I'll learn to wait a couple of days....."I'm getting better at waiting... well, a little bit. :-) I did jump on the B200 as soon as it was released, but that one was a no brainer. Couldn't go wrong buying it.I'll await more reviews of this latest offering before grabbing my CC.Greg
July 28, 200421 yr Just my observation, but the screenshots for the 2D panel aren't impressive. Is the real Warrior panel that ugly? Grey sheet metal with gauges in it? Plus the throttle quadrant looks very "cartoonish". I would like to see some full-screen shots before plunking down the cash. With some of the great payware planes of late (King Air, etc) the bar is pretty high for me with photo-real panels. Anybody got it that would care to do a few screenies of the 2D panels?EddieKABQ EddieKABQ
July 28, 200421 yr Can anyone who has it comment on the flight dynamics? Does it allow slips for example? I'm not so concerned about spins (the realair stuff keeps me as dizzy as I need) :) ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
July 28, 200421 yr To sum it up: I REALLY hope they release a REALLY big patch REALLY soon! The exterior model is way off compared to the real thing, the wheels are much too big, and it is not even fully textured. I am very dissapointed, as there are no othe warior currently on the market. The FD is horrible, or perhaps I am spoiled by the RealAir aircraft.... :(
