December 13, 201213 yr Re: Boston Logan International Airport by George Grimshaw; In my haste to mention this scenery I pointed you to boston_logan_1.1.zip. I have realized that this is a much older and outdated version of the airport and I retract my recommendation to download it. I have version 2.1 which it seems is not available anymore due to the payware release of version 3.0 by FlyTampa and George Grimshaw. After some searching I have not been able to locate 2.0 (required prior to the installation of 2.1) or 2.1 anywhere. Except of course in my sim and the two zip files in my archive. Bostonv2 is a 30.8Mb file and Bostonv2.1 an update is 26.2Mb in size. If you really want these, PM me and I will see if I can get them emailed to you if it is possible. I have Boston v2 and Boston v2.1 on disk. I no longer use it as I have FlyTampa Boston. Let me know if I can help.

Good find. is 70mm mesh good? December 14, 201213 yr Any of the airports form the boyz at Mach1 - while not Fly Tampa or Sun Sky Jet quality - they are a vast improvement over default... Oh - and - someone did a great Sacramento - used to be on the old POSKY site - wasn't the most obvious to find - not sure where it's hiding these days... FreeFlow Bermuda was probably their best work... Regards, Scott
December 14, 201213 yr Man, I never new about the whole world terrain mesh. Good find. is 70mm mesh good? Bill, . . . . a long time ago I tried the terrain mesh (76m) you are referring to. It had many data errors. Maybe fixed by now I don't know. But one as an example was a hole in Mexico the size of a state. After tolerating that sort of thing for a time I finally gave in and purchased the FSGenisis 'world'. I have never regretted it. 10m detail for high detail areas, 19m and 38m where appropriate and 76m elsewhere, also includes,153m and 306m buffer mesh - no more blue slivers. It does take a lot of HD (22.6Gb +/-) space but it is worth it. Regards, Mel
December 15, 201213 yr Not so long ago I purchased the FSGenesis buffer mesh after some research on the very annoying "blue silvers". It works great! Highly recommended for anyone who uses higher res mesh. I use FSGlobal. JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
December 15, 201213 yr Hopefully in a month or so i'll be able to put up my latest update onto the avsim library for DM's VC10. It will have a new airfile, new engine sounds, Individual gauge lights, full on engine management and piles of other stuff. Already available are full checklists written and verbal. Currently I'm finishing off Engine T's & P's (6 gauges per engine-p7, n2, EGT, n1, oil press/temp) a white lit panel, A/c anti-ice and hydraulics. Probably when the project is "finally" done you'll need 2 or 3 screens and two simmers. The workload might be too much for just one!!!!! Ciao! That definitely looks like a dream! Are there any further shots available? Greetings, Alex
