Sorry, but you don't give the orders around here - we'll decide whether to lock it or not.

I would kindly ask you to please be more civil on the forums to other members. This is not the first time you've been warned about that, last time was a suspension fully earned from another mod. If we have to warn you again the consequences would be more severe - please take note as we do not like having to warn and ban people from AVSIM and would much rather not have to do any of that (but that doesn't mean we'll hesitate to do it when the circumstances are justified).

For this I am just going to stick to my Q&A section on the previous page, I think that pretty much sums up FS9 vs FSX.

I checked only this afternoon! It was still functioning and very much alive and kicking on my computer.

You'd better check in the avsim library there's plenty of new stuff for fs9 and more coming!!!!

How many a/c in FSX are fully functioning? With each and every cockpit gauge and switch properly modelled. Corrected engine tables etc etc etc. How many FSX a/c require full checklists?

FSX is all about scenery and plastic looking aeroplanes and having to spend a lot of money to get a PC that might run it smoothly.

Baloney! You don't have to get a mega PC to get smooth performance in FSX. Mine isn't. And RealAir's Duke(s), Flight1's Mustang--they aren't "plastic looking airplanes". Let's have a discussion based on facts, not myths. I don't fly airliners in FSX nor any of the payware airliners in FS9--I'm not interested in clicking buttons, programming FMC's, and watching gauges or looking at performance charts. Don't knock a sim or populate the forums with myths just because people don't use them like you do. I am sure there are fully modeled airliners to be found in FSX. I'll wait for those that use them to speak up.

John

Of course there are fully modelled airliners in FSX - the point is hardly worth stating, but in case anyone has been asleep for the past 5 years or so..,

Look at PMDG's legendary FS9 737

Look at the NGX

Only someone who is trying to troll could claim the FS9 version is more fully modelled - no one argues this.

I have never heard a claim that the NGX is somehow 'plastic looking'.

Anyone who has been around simming for a while must have fond memories of FS9. We're not being disrespectful to the old girl. But the world tends to move on, and that's what been happening over the past few years. Some are happily still flying FS9 - and that's all good.

Does the only pretty girl on these forums really have to try so hard to get herself banned?

You do realize that you've just made every female on this forum mad at you, right? :D

This is the very definition of "how to find yourself in hot water in one easy sentence."

You better be careful. A little over eighteen years ago, I was at a Mexicana ticket office in Mexico with my Spanish speaking business partner (he was also my translator since I didn't speak Spanish and I was in Mexico to teach students how to use a software application). My business partner loved to flirt with the girls showing off his fluent Spanish. So we walk into the ticket office and there sits a very attractive young lady who addressed us in English. I was mesmerized by how pretty she was and the soft way in which she spoke English. My partner immediately started to flirt with her in Spanish. I turned to him and said to him "Will you shut up, she's the first beautiful woman I've met in this town that speaks English".

Long story short, that beautiful young lady and I have been married eighteen years. So when you call a girl pretty, you better be prepared to end up getting married!

John

P.S. I went out on my first date with her the following day. I had been scheduled to go out dancing with some girls who worked for my client but the date conflicted. When they asked my business partner why I wasn't going out with them, he said "oh---uh---John's sick". The two girls wanted to go to my room at my hotel to check on me. My partner got really frantic and said--no, you'll wake him up, please don't! He had to talk them out of checking up on me. Of course word did get out who I went out with--it was a small town. I was in the doghouse with those girls......

Hahaha may the Lord help her if she is ever misfortunate enough to end up married to me! =D

Besides, she wouldn't like New Zealand I don't think ;-).
