FS9 vs FSX ?

Featured Replies

You do realize that you've just made every female on this forum mad at you, right? :D

This is the very definition of "how to find yourself in hot water in one easy sentence."

More of them should post pics... I was floored with Scarlett because girls aren't usually into our hobby much less hardcore. I've met only a few women that have even heard about simming and you'd get the official weird stamp unless you backed it up with real world flight experience.

My thoughts exactly.

Long story short, that beautiful young lady and I have been married eighteen years. So when you call a girl pretty, you better be prepared to end up getting married!

18 years eh? Hmmmm,, I bet you have a similar ringtone on your cell as me? Nail%20Biting.gif

Ya' got me on that one! Seriously I've been blessed--not only was my wife pretty when I met her, she has stayed pretty as she's grown older. She's great company and a great mother. We don't always see eye to eye on things, but that's what gives our marriage longevity--we learn from each other. Pretty spooky thing--my wife went into labor five years to the minute of our first meeting, and our daughter was born on the fifth anniversary of our first date. My wife has stood by my side through the toughest of times--I was so blessed to meet her. Her only failing--she's not into flight simming!

+1

Well, I'd have to say ditto to what you just said John. Only thing we don't share is Flight Sim. Best that way I think, I'd hate having to share my flight sim puter.

To keep this thread on track:

can i fly the old planes, historic flights in fsx ? i loved fs9 5 yrs. ago, ready to get it again (was on old computer, etc.) or fsx; what are the big differences ?

I think FS9 graphics are outdated and FSX less so. Or maybe it's my dried up bifocals?

PS: thanks again John for "soft horizons". I'm still using those textures.

Been with the same girl now for 9 years, will be a decade this December (started dating in high school back in 2003). Looks are certainly not everything (they do count for a little something however as there has to be attraction), its more about the personality, intellect, and intimacy that will make a relationship worthwhile. What makes lots of guys (like us) attract towards a girl like summer are within 2 main points.....

1. She is a "Gamer Girl"

2. She is a Sim Pilot

these 2 things add tons of appeal to lots of girls to us guys, thats mainly because its outside the "norm". This applies to all girls on these forums and others on other forums within the same respect.

As for you Dillon, if you were at least hoping to meet a nice girl on here (over 18 hopefully) and any girl saw your post, your chances which by the rules of the internet say is slim to none on a regular basis, have pretty much been slammed down infinitesimal :P

This brings me to an interesting thought, has anyone seen an ugly female pilot, I cant seem to think of one?

isn't out off topic the sweetest taboo?

Been with the same girl now for 9 years,

39 years for me as of last November. She's still pretty, too!

I think a lot of guys would like her. She watches NASCAR and football, and yells at the TV. :) Good cook, too, as my waistline will attest.

She even bought me FSX when it first came out. I hadn't flown MSFS in 3 versions. She shows interest when I talk about it, even reminded me to tell a friend about a certain plane when I was on the phone with him. But she's not interested in flying the thing herself.

She was interested in my wargaming hobby for all those years, and even provided a handy opponent. She's never complained about my computer addiction, or the money I've spent over the years. Of course, I was programming for a living, so it was at least marginally work related. Looks like I made the right choice.

Oi don't be so discouraging that applies to me too you know - between the two of us I think we scared her off =P.

Some of you guys just got too lucky. Ain't not such girls round my neck of the woods! =O

Love the quote by Socrates there LHook! My fiancee and I have quite a different relationship than most of your "average" relationships are concerned, sounds like you do as well.

As for looks, my fiancee is not a supermodel, however she is far from "ugly", or at least I think so....

My Fiancee while in Japan (we are going back in a few years) ^^^^^^^^^

They're everywhere. In The Sims community, I know two couples who met online and got married. I know there were more. The GameSpy chat community, when it still existed, had a few as well.

As for looks, my fiancee is not a supermodel,

Looks like any other supermodel without her makeup. She's cute! Now, is she into flight simming, or at least aviation?

Screw what anyone else thinks or says about it man. Happiness is all relative to he who is experiencing it.

On another note, any guy who is in love with an ugly girl and it's mutual is pretty lucky from my perspective. Who really wants to live with the feeling that someone better than you could swoop in and steal your girl if she's super hot? Don't want that kinda pressure thanks.

I'm way too lazy, like most here, to scroll up a little and read who started this meander, but beers are on me!

Did I mention that our Australian Rabbit Terrier finally proved her worth?

EDIT: IMAGE REMOVED. TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE.

You have to realise that, every time someone posts in this thread, it pops up on the front page of AVSIM...

Inappropriate material.

Sadly my GF has only been in an aircraft 5 times in her life, and she gets motion sickness pretty easily. She teaches middle school mathematics, and reads anime/manga which is her favorite past-time. She also likes to annoy me on a constant basis, but that's ok because I poke right back. However she does fully support me in my Flight Simming, and real flight lessons, she understands that I love being in the air, she also likes the fact that I am an experienced professional PC tech, as she breaks her computer at least once a year :P

Some women are harder on frames than others, it depends on the modeling.................wait what are we talking about here?
