December 21, 201213 yr For those using ProATC or even thinking about it, they have just posted a intro tutorial video. Sounds like they will do more. As any ATC program it seems can be finnicky if your flightplan is not just right, this explains some of the features and then flightplanning in the future videos. Might be informative and help you too. This one is really preliminary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd2Kr-NQlds&feature=youtu.be CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
December 22, 201213 yr Do you use it Dave? (Any good?) It looks a little bit like EFB, but am interested in watching their videos anyway, see what it can do :-) Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
December 22, 201213 yr Author Do you use it Dave? (Any good?) It looks a little bit like EFB, but am interested in watching their videos anyway, see what it can do :-) Yes I use it. I was reluctant at first because when I bought it , it was expensive, and called a beta by alot of people. But Im happy to be a part of it, and the stage its at now it works. The caveat, is that it can still be finicky if you dont set the flight plan correctly, so most of the time has been my own errors. The biggest plus is its in active ongoing development, and when I ask a question or mention an issue, I get a response within a day, and sometimes even within hours! There is mention of another big update for tomorrow Sunday the 23rd. So it can only get better. The videos will definitely help understanding it better. December 23, 201213 yr It had a rocky road, but it has over time become a very effective and productive ATC addon. Developers are very dedicated, transparent and open the community and the product's future plans. Bob Officially retired
December 26, 201213 yr Author Clive (alpha117) has put out some more videos on flight planning. http://www.pointsoftware.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=8&sid=19115b402fc9e10b4e4294204f0f52c6 There is also another update. Nice to see the improvements implemented at a constant rate. Last flights have been pretty good although I was cleared to land on base leg at 5000ft. December 27, 201213 yr Just watched these videos and according to Clive, they are his first attempt at instructional videos. You could have fooled me (First attempt), because they are excellent. Rick Hobbs
December 27, 201213 yr Excellent videos would be nice to see how the arrival runway works with this product. Rich Sennett
December 27, 201213 yr Author Excellent videos would be nice to see how the arrival runway works with this product. I believe he is doing a future video using pro atc on some flights. My experience has been decent with some anomalies on the way, but gets better with every update and they are frequent. Alot depends on what your AI is doing and the weather and to get everything to coordinate properly. Its had me land on a crosswind runway from the active but im sure that my traffic program causing that. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

December 27, 201213 yr I must say that ProATC really is looking good at the moment. It has a couple of nuances but they're constantly developing and improving the product. These videos help out a lot. Gavin Price
